Vom See aus hat man einen sensationellen Ausblick auf die gegenüberliegende Gebirgskette, die Nordkette im Karwendel. Mehrere Picknick-Tische stehen zur Verfügung, es spricht also nicht dagegen seine Jause in Kombination mit dem Panorama zu genießen. Einen Stern ziehe ich ab da es keine Schattenplätze gibt. Speziell für empfindliche Personen oder Kinder wäre es schön sich auch teilweise (speziell bei den Bänken zum Jausnen) im Schatten aufhalten zu können. Man befindet sich doch auf über 1.600m und sollte die Kraft der Sonne nicht unterschätzen. ACHTUNG: Es handelt sich um keinen Badesee, das Baden ist ausdrücklich verboten!
