★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During our winter holidays I stopped by at this mountain restaurant in Hochoetz while skiing. It is located a couple of hundred meters above the cable car station of Hochoetz. It is convenient to have a hot drink during skiing activities. I just had the bad luck that it was busy hence the serving lady was not necessarily very customer friendly but I am sure there are also quiet times when she is less stressed. The great thing about thus location is that you have a great panoramic view into the valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff, good hearty food and a typically modest but comfortable Alpenverein Hütte overnight experience make this a great place to stay. You can fall out of bed on to the piste and ski directly back home again. Magic. And I've got this far in without mentioning the view, which is stunning, especially with a drink after a day on the slopes.
Although it's not too easy to reach with small children or ski beginners there's always someone to help and the resort really is family friendly. We'll be back there again.
