I would prefer to tell you that it is a stupid campsite and you absolutely should not go there because I am afraid that if I tell you honestly what it is like there, the campsite is fully booked from now on. But then I would be lying!!! It is a very nice campsite in a beautiful location in a narrow valley at the beginning of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Truly the Austria of yesteryear. Waking up to cow bells, rooster crowing and farming country life. No noisy people on the camping site, no late arrivals and early departures (transit camping) Truly a wonderful relief.... Spent three weeks and went home rested for the first time in years. Definitely recommended, even for small children.

small campsite quietly located at the end of a very beautiful valley. the campsite has paid but warm and clean showers. there is a field for tents and pitches for campers and caravans. the campsite is a stone's throw from a large waterfall, beautiful walks also start (round walking is very far and you are doing it all day), every so often a bus with hikers is dropped nearby, but here you have little bother. Are you looking for a beautifully situated campsite without luxury but with all the basic facilities? Then this is a good choice.

The campground has been permanently closed since 2020, upon request to the tourism office, and is not expected to reopen.

A beautiful place with lovely people. There are also a lot of tracks for family hiking with small children and buggy around.

Nice camp in the middle of beautiful mountains, but missing any base (kitchen, fire place,...), just toilete and shower ( 1 € fee for 5min warm watter ). We had to pay 5 € for late check- out (just with a tent and car...).

Very relaxed campsite. Even when busy, still quiet. Hardly any sounds from the environment, but you do hear the bells of cows and goats. Not much place for tents, I'd say you could fit 4 bigger ones. About 10 to 15 camper/caravan spots. Electricity also close to tents. Showers and toilets are well kept. You do have to pay extra for the shower though, 1 euro for 5mins hot water, which was a bit of a downer. I suppose they have to do so because they only have 2 showers and a lot of hikers (no camping guests) walk by. Still it feels a bit... I don't know. Not like the campsite was that cheap. We spent 28 euro per night with a tent, car, 2 persons, 2 dogs, electricity. However, they still get 5 stars for the whole experience. Walks to nearby and futher away lakes are simply astonishing. Great hikes for beginners or veterans start right from the site. Decent restaurants nearby (one at a 5 min walk). Everyone we met was friendly as could be. I was sorry we had to leave, will be back for sure.
