★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could rate this place lower, I would. We arrived after a grueling 7h hike and the place was full of tourists who took the cable car up and occupied essentially all the tables. To make matters worse, the hut keeper would only check us in after 16h, as they were too busy making money from the non-hikers. So no place to unwind after a long day's hike. There was absolutely zero consideration for the hikers and climbers at the hut, with no apologies for the late check-in or any other considerations. Having stayed at other huts, I'm utterly shocked that this is an alpine association (DAV) hut as this particular hut is an absolute disgrace to the organisation. We were supposed to stay two days but only stayed one day. We couldn't wait to get out. We will not recommend anyone staying here.
