★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gives a wow experience after getting off the gondola. Breathtaking views of the greenish lake. One has to hike some distance to get the full view of the lake in one frame.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recommend taking the bus to get to the lift - on a sunny day there are cars parked a long way down the street meaning you have to walk up to the base station. Other cars end up blocking the road as they try to find a spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful Alpine lake in the Austrian mountains. Bus 81 goes from nearby towns (Bludenz, Brand) right to the foot of the mountain and a cable car brings you to the lake. The simplest hike is around the lake itself, and it's basically flat the whole way. There's many points where the path splits to take you up to the surrounding peaks where stunning views await.
Tips:
- bus 81 has a weird schedule with long gaps in the middle of the day
- the cable car station has a nice diner
- the lunersee website has a live cam free but it's stuck in winter for some reason. The lake is bright and sunny in September.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful blue lake with icy waters flowing in streams from where you can drink. Green spaces with benches for a picnic. Plethora of pretty flowers. The walk around the lake could be tiring under the summer heat. The end of the walk is kind of slope-y. There’s also snow/ice sometimes - so wear good shoes!! There’s also a cute cafe. You can either hike to this place or take the cable car.
