★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1897 wurde diese schöne, kleine Lourdeskapelle von Friedrich Mathies als Denkmal seiner Heimatverbundenheit erbaut. Wer Sankt Jodok besucht, dem wird sicherlich diese kleine Kapelle gleich in das Auge fallen. Die besonders spitze Bauform dient als wirksamer Lawinenschutz. Nach der Fertigstellung der Lourdeskapelle konnte auch das Hauptportal der Pfarrkirche wieder geöffnet werden. Dieses Hauptportal war ja seit 1693 zugemauert.
 In 1897, this beautiful little Lourdes chapel was built by Friedrich Mathies as a memorial to his home country. Anyone visiting Saint Jodok will surely fall in love with this little chapel. The particularly pointed design serves as an effective avalanche protection. After completion of the Lourdeskapelle also the main portal of the parish church could be opened again. This main portal had been walled up since 1693.
