★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leider wird die schöne Umgebung, in der die Hütte steht durch vielerlei getrübt.
Zum einem ist die Bedienung eher unfreundlich und das Essen (Halbpension) kommt dem einer unterdurchschnittlichen Kantine gleich. Die Größe der Portionen wirkt auf sonntägliche Spaziergänger abgestimmt und ist der einer richtigen Berghütte unwürdig. Auf die Frage nach einem Nachschlag wir man nur verständnislos angeschaut und selbst bei der Wiederbestückung des kleinen Frühstücksbuffet muss man fleißig mithelfen, damit zumindest nicht mit leerem Bauch auf den Berg gestartet wird.
Dazu ist die Hütte sehr groß und touristisch ausgelegt und die Preise etwas frech.
 Unfortunately, the beautiful surroundings in which the hut is located are clouded by many things.
On the one hand, the service is rather unfriendly and the food (half board) is the same as that of a below-average canteen. The size of the portions is geared towards Sunday walkers and is unworthy of that of a real mountain hut. When asked for a look-up, we just looked at you blankly and even with the restocking of the small breakfast buffet you have to help diligently, so that at least you don't start the mountain with an empty stomach.
In addition, the hut is very large and designed for tourists and the prices are a bit cheeky.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An average hut in the Schober gruppe in Austria. The food is quite expensive and of average quality. The beds are oke but don't sleep very comfortable. Place is oke but not great

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Experience better then expected. Nice furnishing, extra clean rooms WC, warm and quiet stay. Attentive and mindful approach and delicious meals. Forest road allows deliveries of stocks, but for guest is parking site Seitenbrunn in around 1 hour walk distance. Minuscule drawback is lack of mobile signal within wide decent perimeter of the hut, after climbing upwards direction Glödis or other you reach phone connection.
