If you're into medieval weaponry / warfare and have a significant other who possesses the patience of a saint you should totally go here. The Styrian armoury is the largest storehouse of medieval arms and armour in the world, and getting to have an up close experience with some of the really fine artistic details on these pieces is really special. There are no placards explaining what you're looking at (just a little booklet they had you), so maybe invest in either the audio or guided tour depending on how much ice cream you can afford to buy your partner to make up for the time investment.

Interesting museum with really big and rich exibit. Guided tour is a must in this place. The gide knows so much about the history of the place and general history and culture. He was telling a bunch of intereating anecdotes and was answering our questions. Awesome experience!

Despite of a rich collection and The most biggest in The world there iΕ‘ nothing interesting for an ordinary tourist. Just a huge number over The 4 floors diferent types of arms. About 10 Eur admission. Without audio guide spend about 30 min. Nice view from window to The court yard arches

Very nice museum on 4 floors. A lot of things to see from weapons, armours and shields. They have a lot of same items inside but it is presented more like a collection. Worth the time and money.

Museum unlike any other:) been there twice. Loved the fact that there are 4 floors packed with all the armor. Great place for the big and smaller boys.

I have met a Centaur here!? it's told that he was lost and couldn't find the way back to his house. And I told him don't worry I will show him how to get back to his home.

Amazing, worth a visit, get a tour or an audio guide, the museum has many things that our contemporary brain won't understand and it is kept as original, no signs, plaques, , videos. The collection is super impressive

Absolutely loved it! If you like medieval weapons and armor, or enjoy history than this is a MUST see! Tickets cost us 10.5 EUR per person and it was well worth it - the museum spans across 4 stories in the building and is full of carefully maintained weapons and armor. You will find many sets of armor and shields as well as individual parts - helmets, chest sets, leg sets, as well as a FULL SET of horse armor! There is also a huge variety of swords, daggers, greatswords, pikes, muskets... All of them are well sorted and in amazing shape. There's also a few canons and mortars. The staff is nice and helpful and you get a paper mini guide that covers some of the items exhibited. 6/5, very recommended!
