Immer wieder gehen wir Gott sei Dank ganz alleine. Herrlicher alter Baumbestand. Viele Buchenwälder. Aber auch Eichen, Lärchen, Föhren und einige wenige Birkenhaine. Asphaltierte fast ebene, enge Strassen. Gatschfrei im März. Eine Rarität im Wienerwaldgebiet. Fast ebenes Gehen bietet hohe Genussqualität der umgebenden Natur. Das Genießen dieser Naturschönheit fällt bei jedem Wetter leicht. Jeder Baum hat und ist eine Persönlichkeit. Daher trotz 5 Stunden Gehzeit eine enorme Abwechslung von beeindruckenden, vielfältigen Schönheiten des Waldes. Mit offenen Augen und wachsamen Sinnen gesehen, ist der Wald und die einzelnen Bäume eines der größten Geschenke, die wir vor unserer Wiener Nase haben. Huge, idyllic Wienerwald area. With forest meadows plowed up by wild boars. The many hikers are spread over the very large area. Again and again, thank God, we go all alone. Magnificent old trees. Lots of beech forests. But also oaks, larches, pines and a few birch groves. Asphalted, almost flat, narrow streets. Mud free in March. A rarity in the Vienna Woods area. Almost flat walking offers a high quality of enjoyment from the surrounding nature. Enjoying this natural beauty is easy in any weather. Every tree has and is a personality. Therefore, despite 5 hours of walking, an enormous change from the impressive, diverse beauties of the forest. Seen with open eyes and alert senses, the forest and the individual trees are one of the greatest gifts we have in front of our Viennese noses.

There's a fish pond, some animals, squirrels running around, a nice palace (Hermes palace) and a beautiful lookout point over Vienna (Wienerblick). Highly recommended if you want to enjoy nature and have a long(er) walk. The place has different gates where you can enter, otherwise it's surrounded by a wall. Lainzer Tor is the main gate but entering at Sankt Veiter Tor is also a good choice.
