Gadient on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das Künstlerhaus Palais Thurn und Taxis wurde im Jahr 1848 in herrschaftlich-klassischem Stil erbaut und ist seit 1953 Sitz der Berufsvereinigung bildender Künstlerinnen und Künstler Vorarlbergs. Die Villa ist von einer wunderbaren Parkanlage umgeben mit exotischem und heimischen Baumbestand. Das Innere hat helle repräsentativ gestaltete Räume, in der die monatlich wechselnden Ausstellungen sich anschaulich anbieten. Derzeit wird eine Gruppenausstellung "Neue Schwarze Romantik", welch grosse Erwartungen weckender Name, vorbereitet. Die "Schwarze Romantik" ist in der Kunst eine Unterströmung, die innerhalb der Romantik am Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts aufkam. Sie zeichnete sich dadurch aus, dass irrationale und melancholische Züge besonders betont werden. Künstler dieser Strömung gestalteten u. a. die dunkle Kehrseite der Menschen. Vertreter dieser Richtung waren u. a. Caspar David Friedrich, Arnold Böcklin und Edvard Munch. Die kommende Ausstellung ist vom 26. Mai bis 1. Juli 2018 zugänglich. The artist house Palais Thurn und Taxis was built in 1848 in a manorial, classical style and has been the seat of the professional association of visual artists in Vorarlberg since 1953. The villa is surrounded by a wonderful park with exotic and native trees. The interior has bright, representatively designed rooms in which the monthly changing exhibitions are clearly presented. Die Bilder lehnen an Edgar Allan Poe oder Alfred Hitchcock an. Die Werke zeigen die dunklen und düsteren Abwege der menschlichen Gesellschaft. Die Werke wirken so der Kurator ab besten, wenn man sie nach einem stressigen Alltag auf sich wirken lässt.
