Waren eine Gruppe von 20 Leute und es war das einzige Lokal in der Gegend welches uns an einem Sonntag-Abend empfangen hat. Zum Glück, denn Essen war sehr gut, vor allem die hausgemachten Marillenknödel und auch ein richtig gastfreundlicher Chef mit bemühtem Team. Super cozy restaurant with very good, down-to-earth cuisine. We were a group of 20 people and it was the only place in the area that welcomed us on a Sunday evening. Fortunately, because the food was very good, especially the homemade apricot dumplings and a really hospitable chef with a dedicated team.

Für nicht Wildfans gab es Schnitzel und Lachsnudeln. Die Nudeln waren jedoch aus! Auch der Erdäpfelsalat war keine Offenbarung. Schade! The visit there was unfortunately not an exhilarating experience. The food offer was extremely small. Reason: Wild Weeks! Almost only game dishes. For non-game fans there was schnitzel and salmon noodles. However, the noodles were out! The potato salad wasn't a revelation either. Pity!

Ebenso hervorragend dann die gebratene Gänsekeule mit Apfel-Himbeer-Rotkraut und Erdäpfelknödel. Die Kulinarik zur Mühle hält, was sie im Namen verspricht: Exzellente, frisch zubereitete Speisen. Das was ich dabei sehr schätze: Die Größe der Portionen sind wie in einem „Landwirtshaus“ und nicht mikroskopisch klein, wie in diversen Gourmet-Tempeln der Cities und Metropolen! Deswegen ist sich auch kein Dessert mehr ausgegangen. Die Somlauer Nockerl werden wir daher nächstes Mal verkosten! Fantastic dinner: the foie gras pate with fig chutney and toasted butter brioche was a dream in itself. The roasted goose leg with apple-raspberry-red cabbage and potato dumplings is just as excellent. The cuisine at the mill keeps what it promises in the name: Excellent, freshly prepared dishes. What I really appreciate: The size of the portions is like in a "farmhouse" and not microscopic, like in various gourmet temples in cities and metropolises! That's why we didn't run out of dessert. We will therefore taste the Somlauer Nockerl next time!
