A small chapel from the 17th century right next to the Kranzhorn.
According to tradition, during the Third Reich all statues of the saint were torn down and thrown down the mountain. After the Second World War, a dairymaid found the statue of St. Joseph undamaged at the foot of the Kranzhorn. Later the statue of St. Joseph was brought back to the chapel by the Almwirt, and the statue can still be seen in the chapel today.
A small chapel built in the 17th century, right next to the top of Kranzhorn
According to tradition, during the Third Empire, all the statues of the shrine were demolished and thrown down the mountain. After World War II, a local inhabitant found St. Joseph's statue undamaged at the foot of Kranzhorn. Later, the statue of St. Joseph was moved back to the chapel by the hostess, and today the statue can still be seen in the chapel. A must-visit for anyone who climbs the Kranz Horn!
