Steve's technical instruction is second to none and his passion for kayaking is inspiring. I felt safe at all times which meant I had the confidence to push the boundaries of my abilities on the river every day. Overall, thanks to Steve, Ute and Stanzin for an extremely fun, challenging and memorable week!

I wanted to rebuild my confidence and to return to a level which I paddled previously. Steve understood my situation and spent time with me on the basics and building solid skills, which also built my confidence. We started on Grade 2-3 big volume and progressed to alpine grade 3-4. I now feel much more confident on Grade 3-4 alpine and now feel that I could progress further into solid Grade 4+ with confidence. I would highly recommend Kayak School Arlberg, their approach matched my needs and I regained my former love of white water kayaking.

I love kayaking and have been on white water trips with quite a few well reputed UK teachers and guides. Steve is the best in the business. He knows the Austrian rivers backwards, has a grip on safety, teaches great technique, boosts your confidence and creates a positive environment. You can have absolute confidence in the school.

But this year for a change, we paddled with Steve and Ute on the Soca river in Slovenia, and it was a total blast! The Soca is as versatile as can be, the setting is blindingly beautiful and the weather was beyond perfect. As for Steve’s school, it is probably the best in Europe, so no need to search any further. Spring 2019 update: So, this is the 5th or 6th time (I've actually lost count) we've been coming to paddle with Kayak School Arlberg . It kinda implies what I’d like to say here - Steve is a teacher for life. The immediate benefits are clear but they really start piling up in the long run. And there are always new challenges, perfectly tailored to our needs, be it Slovenia, Austria, or possibly other mouth-watering (pun intended) world destinations.
L	Lintrup on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, took the Classic Austria 3-4 and the local knowledge of both the rivers and local hotels/ restaurants by Steve and Stanzin really made it stand apart! The format of the course with coaching in the morning and using the new skills in the afternoon works wonders with the personal feedback from having two coaches. All in all a 10/10 trip I can only recommend!

We spent time on the lake, on the river Inn and on the river Lech. Really built up our skills and confidence and had a great time too. Highly recommended.
