Im Jahr 1724 bei einem heftigen Sturm fiel der Kirchturm um und musste danach wieder errichtet werden. Zwei Jahre später wurden die Drei Altäre Eingeweiht, der Hochaltar dem Heiligen Vitus, der Evangelienaltar der Jungfrau Maria und der Epistelaltar dem Kreuz. Im Jahr 1783 wurde Hausbrunn per Dekret zur Pfarre erhoben. Im Jahr 1841 malte Professor Leopold Kuppelwieser das Hochaltarbild auf dem der Heilige Vitus zu sehen ist. Gegen Ende des Ersten Weltkrieges mussten die Glocken abgeliefert werden und die letzte gegen Ende des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Die Glocken wurden nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg wieder neu beschafft.
