★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Len pár kilometrov západne od Bratislavy stojí v mestečku Hainburg an der Donau románsky karner z prvej tretiny 13. storočia. Ide o typického predstaviteľa tohto typu sakrálnych stavieb, ktoré boli v stredoveku zvlášť rozšírené na území Rakúska, odkiaľ sa dostali aj k nám. Karner má podobu rotundy s východnou apsidou a postavili ho z pravidelných kamenných kvádrov. Z architektonických detailov sa zachoval najmä západný ústupkový portál, štrbinové okná a prípory členiace fasádu. Ide o dvojpodlažnú stavbu, pričom spodná časť slúžila ako kostnica a horná ako kaplnka. Podobné karnery nájdeme aj v blízkom okolí v Bad Deutsch-Altenburgu a Petronell-Carnunte
Just a few kilometers west of Bratislava, a Romanesque karner from the first third of the 13th century stands in the town of Hainburg an der Donau. It is a typical representative of this type of sacral buildings, which were especially widespread in Austria in the Middle Ages, from where they also reached us. Karner has the form of a rotunda with an eastern apse and was built of regular stone blocks. Of the architectural details, the western concession portal, slit windows and supports dividing the façade have been preserved in particular. It is a two-storey building, with the lower part serving as an ossuary and the upper as a chapel. Similar containers can be found in the vicinity of Bad Deutsch-Altenburg and Petronell-Carnunte
