★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The cartoons themselves were great i just did not appreciate the way of presentation. Some of them were in 3 layered drawers, so you usually had to disturb or block someone. A bit too less light too, and i am not that aged. I enjoyed it nevertheless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm actualy a regular... Driving every time for an hour and a half to visit when they change the exhibit. The whole space is not always children friendly, just because of the art you are there to see is not always children appropriate (if you are a caricature and comic fan, I'm not telling you anything new). There is always a creative room for children on the first floor where they can interact with some of the exhibit, and create something on their own (which is I guess good to deter the lovely munchkins from interacting with something you can't afford). The museum shop always holds something thematically close to exhibition.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Austria's more unconventional museums, this place is at least in part a celebration spot for deix, Austria's most famous caricature Artist. This being said, without German you just won't get it.... it's more often than not untranslatable and or referring to Austrian culture and politics. Only 4 starts due to the fact that it felt small and the upper level, though dedicated to Austrian comic artists is just not as entertaining as the deix material.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love it!! I've been here many many times, and just when I think I've seen everything, they change their exhibitions (all of them) and I am thrilled amd excited again :) also, there is not only one exhibition, that changes regularly, but many exhibitions, where one always has the same main theme (but still changes at least once a year) and the other ones I think change twice a year. these change completely, though

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best museums in Austria. Well researched exhibitions and books on topic in the museum's store. Multimedia means are usually present, there are touch screens to see more drawings and a cinema room with relevant movies. Always a place where you can buy graphic novels. There is also a place where kids can play and draw.
The exibitions include the usual comics but go into political caricature with complete explanations about the history and details about the newspapers they appeared in.
There are a lot of details about different currents in the Austrian culture and the way they were reflected in the caricatures. This is usual for all museums in Austria, where the period just before the first world war is very present in any exibitions that has anything to do with modern art. And the caricature museum is modern art ?, even if sometimes is old.
There are permanent exibitions with collections of old newspapers and the way they presented big historic events in caricatures. The most interesting is the Simplicius review and the way it depicted the tragedy of world war I just to go to support the second world war.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Interesting landmark and good exposition inside. This is very nice cultural place to visit. It has all the classics and modern pieces and gives a good presentation of the caricature art. Though if you are not to it, then it could be boring inside. They have affordable prices for tickets including family plans.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is really an interesting and unique museum in Austria, almost fully dedicated to political satire cartoons from local artists, both contemporary and historical. I do enjoy every bit during my visit. Plus, the staff is very helpful and friendly!
