Bergsteiger essen soso with baked pork bacon on the skin and rice.
Not so friendly personnel, smoking at the entrance. Fresh mountain air???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst hutt I have ever been. Very unfriendly staff. I just wanted wait there for my friends who were skitouring. I paid for lunch, coffee, tea and it was big problem for them that I wanted to stay there a few hours. They didn't speak english at all and if I tried to speak german they didn't give me a chance. I thought that people in the mountains are always good people. Unfortunately not.

-a large mountain hut always has less of an authentic feeling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing hut. It's big and usually quite busy, but they sport top-notch facilities, nice rooms, good food and excellent service. One member of our group lost a ski and they helped him out free of charge thanks to their rental service. Would definitely come here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a really awful experience. We visited the after biking there with our kids. The tour was 20km but we were denied drinks once we arrived because the kids did not comply with the COVID rules (they were vaccinated and tested but the time between was not ok.) disappointing but ok. When I asked if I could by the drinks and then bring it to them they denied this. I am fully vaccinated and was allowed to drink something but could not give it to my kids. In disbelief we left and at that point another Austrian family arrived. Same situation but they were served outside the of terras. So my advice is that with all the great spots out there, avoid this nationalistic place and leave it for the Austrians. Denying kids a drink after a long and steep biking tour is just criminal.
