This was my supermarket of choice for shopping groceries and other things, but never again!
The reason is their insulting "policy" of checking my backpack at the counter!! ?
Because I ride my bike to the stores, I always use a backpack for carrying the things I buy. The first time that the lady at the counter asked me if she can see what I have in my backpack, I asked why? And she said sorry, but it's the store's policy. I thought, OK, maybe it is because of the Corona situation and it is a one time and temporary. So I did as she asked.
But I realized no other store did this and also it happened again, this time as I had some items inside my backpack (bought from another shop), she asked me to show her the receipt!
Well, it seems they find a foreigner with a backpack suspicious of possibly stealing something. I find this insulting. So, no more shopping here for me.
