★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the only places in Salzburg where I could exchange money (banks only allowed customers when I asked). Commission price was 10%. Rate was fine - about what you would expect. But they charge commission without saying they do.
I highly recommend using your card to withdraw from the atm as your charges will be much lower and the rate is better. Only use this in an emergency.

Commissions in this place are a bit high, but most people don't realize the hidden commissions they get when paying by credit or debit cards issued by financial institutions from other countries. You don't notice it that much with small purchases... but it adds up.
