House of Hütter - Wachtelhof Hotel & Spa

A Very beautifull and cousy SLH hotel. Also very friendly and helpfull personnel. Rooms with balcony. Very good breakfast, but I missed the Salmon in the morning. The SPA is great. Good shuttle service.

i hesitated with my review for a while now but simply can not resist to clear up some sad facts about this place. since i am travelling a lot and especially because i am a member of small luxury hotels for over twenty years now, this place gave me and my wife the utmost inapprehensible experience for our stay here. for sure the hotels interior on its first impression is quite intriguing. but this is were it almost stops. it ends up to feel like a copied collection of all inspirations that could have been collected from the many design table books laying around in the lobby area and i am not directly talking about all the fake firplaces for example. still though the design of the recently newly build rooms can somehow convince. but this is pretty much about it when remembering the positive aspects of this place. as soon as it comes down to service attitude, luxury hotel standards, even small ones, and especially quality of food, not mentioning value for money yet, you're going to find yourself lost in a dark and partically scary alley. all over all the major downsides are: » the hotels video on their website does not reflect the actual reality as there is no "schluf" bar anymore, none of the personnel seen in the movie works there anymore and the heated pool exists but is not heated » very bad restaurant quality and food we've sent back came in the same low quality in return which led to a complete cancellation of our original order » rooms mini bar was empty and couldn't get filled after several mentions within our 3 nights stay » the oh so good looking spa area is not very well maintained and especially not serviced properly besides being wrongly planned if i only think of the relaxing "beds" where even small kids legs will be to long to stretch out comfortably » the managment lady is serously inpolite and does not give you the impression of being properly trained » not one member of the hotel staff is anyway local and you might get the impression that this could be a savings factor for the owners of the house » ventilation of the restaurant didn't work during our stay so the smells of fried fat covered not only the restaurant but also other areas » talking to many other guests during our stay we were astonished that they would all have the same or similar complaints if not more. the sadest part of all this was that the owner was also residing in "his" hotel during our stay and he would have had the chance to notice many of the circulating issues of all the guests. but in fact he actually preferred to not engage in anything and even worse would let you feel like that he simply doesn't care. if you are looking for a place that might look stylish besides the many plastic detailing you may could feel alright here. but if you are looking for a warm and welcoming place with honest tradition and expecting to experience the typical austrian hospitality and quality attitude this place is definitely not for you. but don't mind. there are at least five to ten way more valuable places for you in the close proximity of maria alm.

Too expensive for what you get. It doesn't worth it. For a 5 star hotel which is in luxurious category it is quite disappointing. The staff isn't good picked/selected. The Hotel is trying to get more money instead of trying to provide a good service. If it was not that much expensive than it would be ok. It is a shame to see that after 1 week you have changed your opinion about your stay with us. Your first review was very different. Here you had praised our cozy hotel, the beautiful decoration, the great sauna area. You also named our service staff by name and thanked you for the wonderful and warm service. It's a shame that this is now completely in the background. But of course I would also like to discuss your revised and revised evaluation. On the one hand we are not a 5 star hotel but a small luxurious private lodge where we want to convey exactly the cozy atmosphere, the private small talk and the coming home. For technical fire protection reasons, we were unfortunately forced to install this type of fireplace, even if we would have liked to have real ones. What open fire in a hotel can do was only reported in the newspapers for the days. We are pleased about the special service that Andreas offers our guests, that he gives tips for all occasions and, in addition to "carrying a suitcase", is also available to help and advise our guests. This is a service that we and many of our guests enjoy to appreciate. Please let him know next time that one tip is enough for you and that you no longer wish for "small talk". Not only he but also the "Manager Lady" are always open for direct criticism or suggestions. Of course, our guests always get a little attention from the turndown service, but our houskeeping team does not disturb a room with the "Please do not disturb" sign. If you do not have this on the door, we will of course be happy to come to your room. We find it inappropriate that you judge the education of our employees here. Every single employee is always trying to fulfill all of our guests' wishes. Political or economic education is not an issue here. We would never allow ourselves to judge you on your character. If you would like to speak to the shuttles about the extra costs, I would like to add that we took you from the hotel to a hut and you were charged for the shuttle service. We drive our guests free of charge in the vicinity, but everything else is a service that, like any other company, would also charge you. Perfect weekend getaway for two. Great rooms, delicious food and friendly staff. Spa area is great and they have an outdoor pool which was awesome. Only a 3 minute walk to the nearest chairlift or they drive you in their golf buggy! Great ski resort. Easy to navigate and nice wide pistes. All in all perfect romantic weekend!

sorry good staff, and dog eating sofa very good 5.1 star reveiw and is good food for pet and i like toilet as drink nice?

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Wachtelhof last month, the hotel is super cosy and well decorated. The spa is amazing and the staff adorable and very helpful. I would definitely recommand staying there !

Amazing stay, amazing place. Really cool location, rooms very nicely designed, great attention to details, excellent SPA, … everything was just wonderful :-) will definitely come again!

The design, comfort and facilities I have experienced anywhere in my travels. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Since the hotel doesn't have hundreds of rooms, it also felt a lot more private and calm being here. I would recommend coming here 10/10.
