Hotel Sun Valley

Ich bewerte hier ausdrücklich nicht den Aufenthalt im Hotel. Zum Hotel an sich kann ich keine Bewertung abgeben, da wir nicht eingecheckt hatten. Ich möchte trotzdem meine persönliche Erfahrung mit dem Personal am Telefon bewerten. Meine Freundin und ich buchten einen Aufenthalt für 4 Nächte inkl. Frühstück. Da wir an Corona erkrankt sind, schickte meine Freundin eine E-Mail mit positivem PCR-Test an das Hotel. Diese E-Mail ging aber allerdings nicht raus und wirklich nicht bei dem Hotel ein. Somit haben wir rechtlich keinen Anspruch auf Rückerstattung. Als die Rechnung über den vollständigen Betrag bei uns einging, waren wir schockiert, stellten dann allerdings fest, dass der Fehler auf unserer Seite lag. Ich rief dann beim Hotel an, um abzuklären, ob es irgendeine Möglichkeit für einen Gutschein oder eine Teilgutschrift gibt. Der Herr am Telefon zeigte absolut keine Kulanz und verwies nur auf die Kosten, die dem Hotel durch uns entstanden sind. Auf die Möglichkeit eines Gutscheins ging er in keinster Weise ein, obwohl ich ihm erklärte, dass wir gerne zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt den Urlaub nachholen würden. Der Herr war mir gegenüber wahnsinnig unhöflich. Als ich ihm sagte, dass ich meine Erfahrungen am Telefon in einer negativen Onlinebewertung wiedergeben werde, drohte er mir mit rechtlichen Schritten und gab an, dass er Zeugen für das geführte Telefonat habe. Abschließend möchte ich nochmal betonen, dass das Hotel gemäß Stornoregeln das Recht hatte, den vollen Betrag einzuziehen, ich jedoch einen derartigen Umgang von der österreichischen Hotellerie bislang nicht kannte. Es ist schade, dass die gewohnte „Gastfreundschaft“ in diesem Hotel nach meinem persönlichen Eindruck nicht zu finden ist. Oder geht man so mit „Freunden“ um?!? Eine erneute Buchung in diesem Hotel wird es von uns definitiv nicht mehr geben.

Very nice hotel, like new

Great service, beautiful view and nice rooms all at a great price! Not a lot of parking space though.

This is a nice hotel in a great location. The rooms are clean and comfortable at reasonable price and the restaurant is good as well. The parking is also a good size . Would I say here again?yes

We (a large group of 12 adults and 6 children) were accommodated in Sun Valley Hotel for 7 nights, with half board. The hotel is at walking distance to the ski installation. The rooms were perfectly clean. The food was very nice and tasty, with a large variety of dishes - in every evening we had a salad buffet, a soup, a starter, a main dish selected from 2 options for adults, a separate dish for the kids and a dessert. Drinks were not included in the half board price. The spa area is open between 3 and 8 PM and it's really nice, consisting of a sauna, a steam bath and two physio therapy cabins. There were, though, some small problems: in some rooms wasn't warm enough; we had plastic (!) glasses in the room - in our case, they were thrown away in the 3rd day of our stay, without being replaced; we had to pay for a cup of hot water (!); the wi-fi connection had viruses. Also, we had the feeling that the owner didn't particularly enjoy our noisy Latin group, as he wasn't very friendly.

We had a large room wit a separate bedroom and and kitchen-area, and access to a balcony. The room was great. We booked with half board. The food, service and attention from the staff was great. The only thing I missed at the hotel, was a better place for relaxing with a beer after a long day out. There was a few tables at the parking lot, but not really a great place to relax. But overall a very pleasant stay. Would come back another time.

Very nice, cosy and comfortable hotel in an amazing location. When you will be there as a guest, ask the reception for the ticket for the cableway, you should have it for free then. They made lovely breakfast with amazing mixed eggs. We would love to come back in the future.
