We visited this hotel in August 2019.The rooms are dirty. They dont look like the pictures. It's overpriced for what is offering. We had booked the vintage double room with garden view. When we got the room it was dirty. The floor was not cleaned and there were hair in the shower. We talked with the staff which looked completely lost and they offered us a suite in the spa area. The suite looked worse than the previous room so they moved us to a modern double room. It was a bit better than the others but still not quite clean. Somebody had spilled a lot of coffee on the curtains and they didn't bother to check it and clean it. There was no mattress protection on the bed and the pillows were smelly. Unfortunately they wouldn't give our money back so we can find another hotel.Also there was a wedding going on and we wanted to sit somewhere in the hotel to have a drink but we were not allowed because of the wedding. Finally we went to the restaurant to sit there and have a drink and the staff were really unfriendly and they told us that if we want to sit there we have to be really quiet because of the wedding guests who were eating there. The spa is really small. There is a small pool and 2 saunas and a steam room. There are not enough seats for the guests to leave their stuff. The stuff from the bar at the spa are never there so it was impossible to get a drink there either. The good things about this hotel is that the breakfast is good and the view to the garden is beautiful. We paid 130 euros per night and it is supposed to be a 4 star hotel. We wouldn't recommend this hotel. The fact that it is a schloss doesn't mean that they deserve to have 4 stars. They should really work on the service towards the guests and the cleaning standards.

Booked this hotel because it seemed like a lovely, positive place with a historical soul! However, I will definitely not come here again and here’s why. Personally I was shocked with such unprofessionalism from the receptionists that “greeted” us. When we entered the hotel, she did not even greet us but told us to wait and did not wear a mask properly in the midst of a COVID pandemic! Then she could not find our reservation and had us wait for so long (because she had to call someone and ask for help on how to book a room for us, which should be the essential criteria for her job). While waiting, the guests who came after us got the only available spa appointment that worked for us because their receptionist was organised and knew how to do her job unlike her colleague, leaving me with the only option to reschedule all of my work meetings so that I could use a SPA package that I paid for. Not to mention that while we were questioning whether we wanted to stay at this place after such a bad first impression, she LEFT, did not apologise or said goodbye to us (just greeted her colleague) and then her colleague had to take over and correct her mistakes (such as give us 2 room cars instead of 1, the VIP card that was included and finish our reservation). Apart from that, the floor in the room was dirty and the room was small and very damaged. Very unfortunate, because the hotel by itself and the lobby look beautiful, as well as the nature around it and none of the other lacking things would bother me if the receptionist was kind and did all she could to help us and at least tried to fix things instead of arguing and leaving. I am an influencer with a reach to a lot of people and I was really, really close to telling this story to my following which would have been really bad for this hotel. I hope that the appropriate action will be taken to improve this, so that the guests can enjoy their stay at this place instead of starting their vacation on a negative note! I am hoping that after our dinner and the visit to their spa tomorrow I will be able to write a better review!

Filthy hotel, we stayed 2 minutes in the room before turning round and walking out of the hotel. The lack of cleanliness is completely unacceptable and quite unbelievable during COVID-19 times when you would expect a heightened awareness of hygiene and safety for guests. Do not waste your money or time booking this place.

Terrible service. A sequence of lies during my stay from many of the staff, trying to avoid responsibility. Not worthy for a night in Baden, my best advice try other hotels, similar prices and for far better service. At the end of the day, we only live once, and live is about good experiences and good memories.

We did not stay at the hotel, but had a late lunch at the restaurant outside (3 p.m.). We were 6 people (4 adults and 2 kids) and since the lunch menu was apparantly only until 2 p.m., we were only able to order from their small snack menu. We ordered a couple of burgers and a Caesar salad. First of all, I would like to say that I have never seen such a lack of service in a restaurant before. Not a single time did a single waiter come to us and ask if we needed anything else after we placed our orders or even after we received our food. Not a single time did anyone come ask us if we were doing alright and were happy with the food. In any case, we were not able to order any more drinks since the waiter was non-existant and I was also not able to complain about my Caesar salad either. I love eating Caesar salads, but this was by far the worst Caesar salad I have ever eaten!! There was soooo much salt in it and it was such a waste of food and money (15 Euros!)!! In the end, when we asked for the bill, I complained to the waiter (older man, small with glasses) saying that the caesar salad was not eatable (the salad was sitting still next to me - mostly uneaten) and had way too much salt in it. But he didn't say anything, other than "ahah" - he didn't apologise for it or offer to take the salad off the bill, nothing - he just showed that he basically didn't care at all! I can't speak for the hotel, but can only say that it is definitely not worth coming to the restaurant here!!!!!

Although the rooms are slightly dated, the five stars are a testament to the staffing who provided excellent service during our stay.

The hotel has an old building which is average and new building which is good, nice facility and a very good location but I have to admit that during my stay there I had to run away and leave the hotel because of the poor customer service and the bad attitude of front desk manager, receptionist and the frowning faces with bad welcoming at breakfast area especially from the woman who was head of breakfast area, I bit she doesn’t know how to smile, she is probably an exe military factory personnel or an exe prison Gaurd, There was a front desk guy at night shift I think his name was Ramsey, I saw him once upon arrival, he was a great guy and the housekeeping manager was a great lady who really understands customer service and the benefit of being nice; after I don’t recommend this hotel to any body.
