The hotel was quite dirty and the staff almost nonexistent. The only good thing was breakfast. Note: credit card not accepted.

I stayed two nights here. The rooms are clean and nice, but that is the best thing I can say. First thing you notice walking in is the staff sitting by the bar smoking (smoking indoors in public places has been illegal for quite a while now and it is also disgusting). I ordered a beer and sat on the restaurant side to avoid the smoke. Although the beer comes from a bottle, it had a strong side-taste like blue-cheese. Asked the staff about it, but they couldn't explain it nor did they offer a replacement. Dinner was somehow off. With the appetizer, a salad, the cook clearly had tried to make it look nice, but the taste was bland. Next up, a soup, was quite good, probably the best thing I ate here. Main course was a steak with French fries, which is almost impossible to spoil. Breakfast was ok, I guess. Next day dinner; appetizer had ingredients from the soup the previous day. Hmm. Soup was again ok. Main course appalling. It was a traditional plate of mixed meat and sausages. One of the meat pieces tasted like it was made last week, kept in the fridge and heated twice afterwards. The other parts of the food were surely heated from a can and were unpalatable. To top it off, the staff had decided to heat up the wooden stove in the middle of the restaurant area. Nice idea, I thought, until it became apparent that the there was so much smoke coming in that staying in the restaurant was impossible. Had to escape to my room to drink beer which I had bought at a gas station (didn't dare to try my luck with the beer from the bar a second time). Overall, it is a bit sad. It seems like a family run business that used to be ok, but when the son took over things have started to fall apart. A new cook would fix 90% of the problems and stopping smoking inside would take care of most of the rest.

Great hospitality, good Austrian food, good breakfast, great envoirement and comfortable rooms. I truly enjoyed my stay here and it's only 8km away from the glacier which makes it an ideal, quiet and tranquil envoirement for those who love to hike or do wintersports. They have a nice wellness area with different saunas, solarium and sunbeds on the balcony. Dinner is a nice 4 course surprise every evening.

Beautiful small hotel run by wonderful people. Erich, Tom and staff treated us like family, gave great advice on Tirol, cooked us delicious meals for reasonable prices...they make all efforts for good hospitality. The valley view is gorgeous, rooms are cozy and clean, and there's a bus stop 1 minute away.. If hiking to or from Neue Regensburger, you should at least stop for a beer and great meal. Thanks to all for wonderful hospitality, would love to visit again soon!

Because something went wrong with our reservation at the Neue Regensberger we needed to hike down. The Wald Café is mostly a wintersport Place, but nevertheless the welcomed us. Very pleasant. The room was great (with a bathtub!) and the staff is very nice and gives you many tips of what you can do. Because we were the only ones in the hotel, the kitchen was closed. Luckily there is a restaurant across the road. We had a great night at this place and would recommend it to anyone!
