Hotel Korotan

Rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good, staff was extremely friendly and most importantly it was cheap for Vienna prices. It might not be in the city centre, but is not far away. If you enjoy walking, it is only 20 minutes to the parliament or 30 minutes to Hofburg on foot. Highly recommended for budget travelers.

The hotel is really clean and neat. Rooms are convenient and spacious. Receptionists are really helpful and smiley. Breakfast was very good. The surrounding was very good and quiet.

Nice place. Simple but clean and the price is great. Although not directly in the centre it's a pleasant 30 min walk to the main city parts. My only gripe was the coffee- considering that the Viennese hold coffee with in such high esteem, I was disappointed with the (instant?) coffee offered at breakfast

It was a pleasant 3-night-stay for us. Reception service was very friendly, the room was great (the bed, ah!) and the breakfast alright. Recommended for budget travellers since Vienna is not really the cheapest city of them all. The nearest shop and public transport stops are all a few hundred meters away.

The rates are okay, it's a rather quiet neighbourhood, but the hotel itself is very noisy. And you hear everything. The bathroom is very tiny so that you can't really open or close the door when you're inside. When you arrive late and you want to ring the doorbell for the night ward, it doesn't work. You need to call with your mobile phone. Breakfast is okay, but lacks good bread and variety. Unfortunately they still serve jam and honey in one portion packages, not very eco friendly. But there are always fresh fruits! The hotel will s close to metro and tram, but not in the city center.

This hotel is not a fancy or a luxurious option. Instead, it is more convenient for short stays in Vienna. The internet connection was OK, although with some interruption breaks. The room I booked was spacious, although the toilet seat was not fixed.

For one person, the room is quite comfortably small. Breakfast was pretty measly and too expensive for nine euros per day. I recommend going to a café for breakfast. Cleanliness is quite fine in the hotel, but not perfectly great either. Since I was only in the hotel to sleep, I still can not complain and do not regret my visit at Hotel Korotan.

Although I had previously read a lot of reviews that advised against booking a room at this accommodation, the truth is that my experience over there was really good. Yes, the down feather pillows were thin but that wasn't a problem. The biggest issue for me here is actually the fact that down feather pillows are still a thing since there's so much animal cruelty involved. Yes, the breakfast was basic but it was the standard breakfast in this room price range, so nothing surprising here. I actually liked the bread buns very much. Yes, the bathroom floor does get wet around the floor-level shower but come on, it doesn't get flooded like I've read about and it's a manageable area. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed was soft (something I look forward to when I'm travelling) and the towels were replaced every day, which was surprising considering I kept them on the rack (but hey, fresh towels are always better than damp towels so this was an unexpected bonus). I know a lot of people complained about the noise and the heat but it wasn't the case during my stay. There's a fan in the room so don't expect AC (I have a hunch this is standard for Vienna if you look at the buildings). All in all, I would definitely stay there again because it's located within walking distance of the city centre, it's clean, and the people are welcoming.
