Frühstück ist in Ordnung für den Preis! Alles in Allem ein sehr gutes Hotel für ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis!! Very friendly service / room sufficiently equipped and very clean! Checking in by code is very convenient and easy! Breakfast is fine for the price! All in all a very good hotel for a good price / quality ratio !!
P	Pierre aus B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kleines, inhabergeführtes Hotel zum fairen Preis Was das Hotel Garni Matt nicht ist: es ist kein hochprofessioneller Hotelbetrieb mit Dutzenden Angestellten, allen erdenklichen Ausstattungsmerkmalen und Rundumservice 24/7. Was das Hotel statt dessen ist: es ist besser als nur zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es ist gepflegt, sauber und regelmäßig renoviert und der persönliche Kontakt zum Gast wird gepflegt. Die Reservierung konnten wir formlos per Mail vornehmen. Da wir erst spät in der Nacht anreisten, war der Zimmerschlüssel in einem Safe hinterlegt. Das mag nicht jedermanns Sache sein, funktionierte aber tadellos. Das Zimmer war größer als wir erwarteten, das selbe gilt für das modern eingerichtete Bad. Nirgendwo konnten wir Abnutzungen oder "Schmutz- und Schimmelecken" entdecken, wie es bei manchem mittelgroßen Hotel der Fall ist. Anscheinend wird viel Arbeit in den Erhalt und die stetige Verbesserung der Substanz gesteckt. Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Dem großen Frühstücksraum sieht man noch an, dass er einst ein Restaurant war. Leider lohnte die Arbeit nicht mehr. (So ging es zu vielen Gastwirtschaften in Bregenz.) Die Inhaber und deren Beschäftigte waren stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. In Google-Maps ist eine Bahnlinie hinter dem Hotel zu sehen. Hier verkehren aus unserer Beobachtung nur S-Bahnen und Regionalzüge. Anscheinend pflegt die ÖBB ihr Material besser als die DB. Die Züge waren sehr leise - für uns kaum wahrnehmbar. Die Hauptstraße kann da eher störend wirken. Da Bregenz kein Dorf, sondern eine Stadt ist, gibt es hier auch nachts Verkehr. Lärmempfindlichen Personen empfehle ich ein Zimmer zur Rückseite (allerdings wird man dann nicht von der Sonne geweckt). Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden, fühlten uns gut aufgehoben und werden gerne wiederkommen. Small, owner-managed hotel at a fair price What the Hotel Garni Matt is not: It is not a highly professional hotel with dozens of employees, all imaginable features and all-round service 24/7. What the hotel is instead: it's better than just functional. It is well-kept, clean and regularly renovated and personal contact with guests is maintained. We could make the reservation informally by email. Since we arrived late at night, the room key was in a safe. This may not be for everyone, but it worked perfectly. The room was bigger than we expected, the same goes for the modern bathroom. We could not find any signs of wear and tear or "dirt and mold corners", as is the case with some medium-sized hotels. Apparently a lot of work is being put into maintaining and continuously improving the substance. Breakfast was sufficient. You can still tell from the large breakfast room that it was once a restaurant. Unfortunately, the work was no longer worthwhile. (This is what happened to many restaurants in Bregenz.) The owners and their employees were always friendly and helpful. A train line behind the hotel can be seen in Google Maps. From our observation, only S-Bahn and regional trains run here. Apparently the ÖBB looks after their material better than the DB. The trains were very quiet - barely noticeable to us. The main street can be rather annoying. Since Bregenz is not a village but a city, there is traffic here even at night. For those who are sensitive to noise, I recommend a room at the back (although you won't be woken by the sun). All in all, we were very satisfied, felt we were in good hands and will be happy to come back.
