Spent a week here with the family. Location size is great to get at the skiing, which is what we were doing all week, there is ski hire in the hotel and a bus all day (other than lunch time) to take you to the ski lift. Staff were great and attentive. On half board all the breakfast, apre ski and dinner is included as well as drinks up to 9. Can't fault the place. Will look at coming back another year.

A wonderfully friendly hotel. The hotel staff are helpful and efficient. I fell on day 1 of my ski ing holiday, breaking my ankle and upper arm in two places. The hotel manager went to collect a wheelchair for me as I could not use crutches. Everyone went out of their way to ensure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I also received outstanding care from the Crystal Ski rep JJ Jones. Thanks to all I have been repatriated safely back home. Really grateful. Would recommend especially for families.

Enjoyed an amazing family ski holiday at this lovely hotel in February 2019. The new rooms are lovely and the staff were so welcoming. Really enjoyed our stay and felt truly looked after. They make the most amazing pizzas. The skiing and weather were amazing too. Can highly recomend this hotel and will definitely be back. Thank you Hotel Alpin.

Fantastic hotel! Breakfast and dinner are delicious and there's a great choice of food. The staff is simply the best! It's close to the ski lift which can be reached by bus or car in less than 5 minutes. There's a ski rental service in the building which is very convenient. The hotel has a pool and spa and they offer massages. The only bad experience we had was an unpleasant odor of Bratfisch (?) in our room. It seemed like some kitchen fumes reached us through the ventilation system. Anyway the good strongly outweighed the bad for our short stay and we can recommend Hotel Alpin!

Booked this hotel through Crystal Ski/TUI for two intermediate adults looking for a relaxing break and could not be happier with the choice. Location: Around one hour from Innsbruck airport, however the transfers were longer due to other arriving passengers flights / picking up from other villages. The hotel is a three minute bus ride from one of the main lifts in the valley, with buses going every 15 minutes (exc. lunchtime) from right outside, so it is very easy. Crystal also advertise a blue piste down to the lifts, however this would be followed by a ten minute walk in ski gear so would not recommend this for anything other than getting your ski legs back. Room: Very comfortable. The hotel has two buildings around 50m apart but this was not an issue. It seemed like one was for English speakers and the other for Dutch and German speakers. Each has its own restaurant, and the English speaking building also has the pool and Sauna, while the other has the well equipped boot room, bar and is where afternoon tea is served. Food: AMAZING. A buffet every morning and evening. Each dinner had salads, meat, fish, free wine, beer and soft drinks, all served by the nicest staff I have ever met. My only criticism would be that the veg could be a little bit sad-looking, but Austrians seem to prefer their greens in a salad rather than ‘our’ meat and two veg approach so not an issue :) The resort: Scheffau itself is small, pretty and sleepy. There is a coffee shop on the other side of the church, a SPAR and bank beside the hotel (you will need cash for the restaurants on the pistes), and a ski hire and gift shop attached to the hotel (very convenient). I would not describe this valley as the best for beginners or for those looking for crazy bars, however. Keep in mind if you ski down to some of the neighbouring villages there are buses back to Scheffau instead of taking the lifts. Misc: There does not seem to be any price advantage to booking the ski gear hire, classes and lift passes separately so I would just do this through Crystal for convenience. Skischule Scheffau is right at the top of the main lift and very good value (£155 for four days, 3x2 hrs and 1x4hrs).

Booking: We booked last minute from the UK and the hotel was very flexible to the circumstances around the Austria-UK border due to covid, offering free cancellation if needed. Staff: Throughout our stay the hotel staff were brilliant and far more professional than chalets filled with seasonaires. Particular shout-outs to: Monica for her brilliant waitressing; Alex for his humour and perseverance to make our stay great despite the covid restrictions; and Vlado for going above and beyond to print & prepare our returning travel documents (thank you!). Facilities: The rooms are all you need, very spacious, clean and tidy. The sauna (x2) and pool areas are great and not over crowded. Beware that the spa is in a secondary hotel building about 40m away from the main hotel (we had rooms in this one, which made the spa easy). Fluffy bathrobes are in every room to get you to and fro. The boot room is HUGE and has heated boot racks galore. It also is adjacent to the ski hire shop; handy, when the hire shop is open - which it isn’t between 12-3pm. Food: Amazing! Honestly, I’ve never had food that good and varied for every meal. Kudos to the team of chefs! Be careful indulging in afternoon tea, as you’ll be too full to enjoy the buffet dinner, which you don’t want to miss. There’s always fish, several roast meats and a couple of other dishes (stews / curries etc.). For the British out there, you’ll find a cooked breakfast but don’t expect crispy bacon, it’s the anaemic type (each to their own…). You’ll also be pleased to find a good selection of teas that you’d recognise. House wine is more than drinkable and you’ll enjoy the complementary beer and wine from 6-9pm. Location: The hotel is in the centre of Scheffau, which is quaint but don’t have St. Anton in mind. It’s a 3 min bus ride (right outside, frequent) to the main lifts. The ski area is significant and the pistes are kept in good condition even if the weather is warm and the snow lacking. Very high quality lift system. Bonus: you’ll even find a beer or coffee up the mountain for €3! Great for intermediates, not ideal for beginners or experts. Overall, I’d go back in a heartbeat. What a great place and a great stay. Thank you!

Great little hotel, friendly reception, waiting and room service staff (who not only made up the beds, but made a game of where they would throne my daughters Teddy bear, much to her, and our delight). The food was lovely, exactly what you needed after a day skiing/boarding. The pool was, invigorating (slightly cool, but kept you swimming), but I forgot to make use of the sauna. Having the ski rental and shop under the main building meant there was no need to trek outside of the hotel and with the ski lockers located behind the rental, you could even get your personal skis or board serviced overnight. Austria does have strict Covid-19 rules, so the restaurant closed at 10pm, but there was unlimited wine/beer included in the half board from 6pm to 9pm. The hotel also provided a lovely late lunch from 3:30 to 5pm, for those not wanting to pay mountain top prices. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and was sad to leave.
