Wenn man davor steht kommt man aus dem Staunen nicht heraus. Die Zahlen dieses beeindruckenden Bauwerks sprechen für sich: 550m³ Lärchenbrettschichtholz aus der Steiermark wurde mit 69 Tonnen Stahlverbänden vereint. Mit einer Länge von 85 Metern ist die Brücke 8,60 Meter breit und 25 Meter hoch. Die Holzeuropabrücke ragt freitragend über die Mur. Vom Ufer in St. Lorenzen aus bietet sie ein unvergleichliches Fotomotiv.
When visiting Styria in Austria, make a detour to St. Georgen am Kreischberg. Here you will find the Europabrücke. If you stand in front of it, you will not be amazed. The figures in this impressive building speak for themselves: 550m³ larch board plywood from Styria was combined with 69 tonnes of steel bandages. With a length of 85 meters, the bridge is 8.60 meters wide and 25 meters high. The wooden Europe bridge juts out cantilevered over the Mur.
