★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Laut meinem Sohn gibt’s hier die beste Gulaschsuppe im ganzen Pillerseetal.
Für den Rest der Familie ist die Hoametzelhütte auch immer einen Einkehrschwung wert. Das Essen schmeckt, die Wirtsleute sind super auf Zack und immer unglaublich freundlich, egal wie voll die Hütte ist!
According to my son, they have the best goulash soup in the entire Pillerseetal here.
For the rest of the family, the Hoamezelhütte is always worth a stop. The food tastes good, the landlords are super on the ball and always incredibly friendly, no matter how full the hut is!

Gute Karte. Kaspressknödel Suppe und die Bretteljause zu empfehlen.
Keine Angst vor dem Abstieg über den Gipfel, von der Hütte kommt man auch zur Buchsteinwand Talstation.
Super friendly staff, today on Sunday morning pint with live music. Great mood.

Don't be afraid of descending over the summit, from the hut you can also get to the Buchsteinwand valley station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Von Hochfilzen eine nette Wanderung zur Hütte ca. 1Std. oder mit dem Schlepplift. Oben angekommen schicke Almhütte mit freundlicher schneller Bedienung auch wenn es voll mal ist. Preise sind angemessen, Produkte sind klasse. Die Terrasse lädt bei schönem Wetter zum verweilen ein und man kann das herrliche Bergpanorama genießen.
From Hochfilzen a nice hike to the hut approx. 1 hour. or with the tow lift. Once at the top, a chic alpine hut with friendly, fast service, even when it's full. Prices are reasonable, products are great. When the weather is nice, the terrace invites you to linger and you can enjoy the wonderful mountain panorama.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place for a (not so Quick) bite if you are skiing in the pillerseetal area.
Usally crowded during Lunch time, be Quick to get a good place in the Sun.
Depending on the amount of people it can take up to 30 minutes till you get your order.
It's priced like all the restaurants in the mountains, but the portions are big and the salad is fresh (not just canned beans and stuff)
It lies between the two t bar lifts.
