Historical place with medieval town center and pillory. The phylloxera with the Hans Moser monument is also worth seeing. Many hiking trails in the vineyard around the wine village, u adjacent Vienna Woods

In der Umgebung finden sich einige Heurige, die absolut stimming in die Kulisse eingebettet sind.
Muss man erlebt haben!

In the area there are some Heurige that are absolutely stimming embedded in the backdrop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Charming historic castle in beautiful surroundings
This fascinating hotel is a former monastery next to the church at the top of the small charming town of Gumpoldskirchen and next to some amazing vineyards (see my attached photos).
Our room (no 102) was very spacious and had a balcony with nice view to the vineyards. The room was simple but functional and we had everything we needed. The room was spotless clean!
Exceptional staff, especially the manager of the hotel.
Breakfast was nice and you can order fried eggs, scrambled eggs e.g.
In summary, Schloss Gumpoldskirchen is a very well run hotel offering simple but nice rooms and a high standard of personal service. We loved every moment of our stay and would highly recommend this place.
