★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Waren dort Kaffee und Kuchen bzw Palatschinken essen. Kaffee leider super wässrig. Palatschinken hat eine halbe Ewigkeit gedauert. In Summe nichts besonderes. Achtung: Nur Barzahlung möglich
Were there coffee and cake or eat pancakes. Unfortunately, the coffee is very watery. Pancakes took forever. All in all, nothing special. Attention: only cash payment possible

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unser neues Ziel: Nachdem wir - meine über 80jährige Mutter und ich - vor einigen Wochen von einem Ausflugsrestaurant abgewiesen worden sind - haben wir eine neue Gaststätte als Ziel für unsere Ausflüge am Galiziberg und den Steinhofergründen gefunden. Trotz hohem Gästeaufkommen wurden wir freundlichen bedient und es gibt eine beachtliche Auswahl an Mehlspeisen. Morgen zu Allerheiligen testen wir die Küche.
Our new goal: After we - my over 80 year old mother and I - were turned away from an excursion restaurant a few weeks ago - we have found a new restaurant as a destination for our excursions on the Galiziberg and the Steinhofer grounds. Despite the high number of guests, we were served friendly and there is a considerable selection of pastries. Tomorrow on All Saints' Day we will test the kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der goldene Baum wirkt von außen nicht besonders einladend. Aber das macht nichts, denn das Essen ist einfach spitze. Wir hatten uns Zander und Cordon Bleu bestellt. Beides war frisch und hat hervorragend geschmeckt.
The golden tree doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside. But that doesn't matter, because the food is just great. We ordered zander and cordon bleu. Both were fresh and tasted great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir haben einmal die eierschwammerlsauce mit Knödel und einmal ein Beuschel mit Knödel bestellt. Beides hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Es war frisch und reichlich. Haben jeweils die Hälfte mitgenommen und am nächsten Tag noch gegessen.
Das Service war sehr nett und freundlich.
We ordered the egg mushroom sauce with dumplings and a dumpling cup once. Both tasted very good. It was fresh and plentiful. Took half of each and ate the next day.
The service was very nice and friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wiener Gasthaus, mit schon etwas in die Jahre gekommener Einrichtung, aber trotzdem irgendwie gemütlich mit deftiger Hausmannskost. Grüner Pass wurde von der freundlichen Kellnerin kontrolliert. Wir hatten Gebackene Champignons und einen Bauernschmaus, beides sehr gut und mehr als ausreichend. Kleiner Kaffee hat leider nicht meinen Erwartungen entsprochen. Gastgarten, Parkplatz.
Viennese inn, with somewhat dated furnishings, but still somehow cozy with hearty home cooking. Green passport checked by the friendly waitress. We had fried mushrooms and a farmer's feast, both very good and more than adequate. Small coffee unfortunately did not meet my expectations. Guest garden, parking lot.
