 No huts that are open in summer as the area is only geared towards winter sports tourists. I think it's a shame ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Der Plattenkogl mit einer Höhe von 2033m NN schaut von den umliegenden Bergen gesehen aus wie die Reste eines längst erloschenen Vulkan (Kuppe). Der Gipfel ist bei Skiliften in Betrieb schnell und bequem über den Plattenkogl-Express I zu erreichen. Ansonsten führt ein bequemer und nicht zu steiler Wanderweg zur Gipfelkuppe. Reizvoll neben dem Gipfelkreuz ist ein neu installierter Visualizer. Wenn man hindurchschaut markiert er die anvisierten Berggipfel mit Namen und Gipfelhöhe. Reizvoll sind anzuschauen sind von hier oben die Sonnenaufgänge, wirklich lohnenswert (klarer Himmel vorausgesetzt).
The Plattenkogl with a height of 2033m above sea level looks like the remains of a long-extinct volcano (hilltop) when viewed from the surrounding mountains. When the ski lifts are in operation, the summit can be reached quickly and easily using the Plattenkogl Express I. Otherwise, a comfortable and not too steep hiking trail leads to the summit. A newly installed visualizer is attractive next to the summit cross. If you look through it, it marks the targeted mountain peaks with their names and summit height. The sunrises are attractive to watch from up here, really worthwhile (provided the sky is clear).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tolle Rundumsicht. Jetzt außerhalb der Saison, kein Mensch dort oben. Ein sehr schöner natürlicher Wanderweg ausgehend von der Schönmoosalm. Hier befindet sich auch ein kostenfreier Parkplatz.
Great all-round visibility. Out of season now, no one up there. A very beautiful natural hiking trail starting from the Schönmoosalm. There is also a free car park here.
