Vannak időszakok,amikor órákra elmegy, a vizsgaidőszakban egyszerűen elfogadhatatlannak tartom,hogy ne ferjunk hozza az esetleges online tananyaghoz. A westbahnhofra kell mennem,hogy skypeolhassak anyukámmal?? A reakcioidejuk szintén szörnyű, hónapok telnek el,mire megoldást találnak... Vagy közlik,hogy a laptopom túl öreg (?!!!!) És azért nem tud csatlakozni a netre... In the dormitory, where we live about two hundred, the quality of the internet is horrible. There are times when you go to classes, I find it simply unacceptable during the exam period not to be bothered by any online curriculum. Do I have to go to the westbahnhof to skype with my mom ?? Their reaction time is also terrible, it takes months to find a solution ... Or they tell me that my laptop is too old (? !!!!) and yet it can't connect to the net ...

Die Wlan-Verbindung in unserem Studentenwohnheim funktioniert so gut wie nie, weder auf meinem MacBook, noch auf meinem iPad oder iPhone. Ich muss mich immer wieder neu einwählen, neu verbinden.. was natürlich beim Upload von Abgaben richtig geil ist. Und selbst wenn die Verbindung einigermaßen stabil ist (was in Ausnahmefällen durchaus vorkommt, man glaubt es kaum), dauern die Ladevorgänge eine gefühlte Ewigkeit. Da ist sogar unser Internet in meinem Kuhdorf im Waldviertel schneller.... Bin also definitiv nicht zufrieden!! Funfact: Noch während ich diese Zeilen hier getippt habe, ist die Verbindung (wieder einmal) ausgefallen... HOW SHOULD I STUDY IF MY INTERNET LOSES EVERY 5 MINUTES? The WiFi connection in our dormitory hardly ever works, neither on my MacBook, nor on my iPad or iPhone. I have to dial in again and again, reconnect ... which is of course really cool when uploading taxes. And even if the connection is reasonably stable (which happens in exceptional cases, you can hardly believe it), the charging processes take an eternity. Even our internet is faster in my cow village in the Waldviertel .... So I'm definitely not satisfied !! Fun fact: While I was typing these lines here, the connection (again) failed ...

Leider funktionert es nur sporadisch, man fliegt immer wieder raus und muss sich neu anmelden - manchmal sogar im Minutentakt. Alle, der über 200 Bewohner, haben dasselbe Problem und sämtliche Beschwerden laufen seit fast 3 Jahren, ohne irgendeine Verbesserung zu erzielen, ins Leere. Wenn man eine gute IT-Infrastruktur haben will, rate ich von GEKKO eindeutig ab. Gekko was responsible for the establishment of a WiFi system in my dormitory. Unfortunately, it only works sporadically, you always fly out and have to register again - sometimes even every minute. All of the over 200 residents have the same problem and all complaints have been going nowhere for almost 3 years without any improvement. If you want a good IT infrastructure, I clearly advise against GEKKO.

Jedoch gibt's laufend Probleme damit, wobei nach jeder Wartung gesagt wird, dass das Problem behoben wurde. Insbesondere im Sommer, in welchem das Haus auch als Hostel läuft, fiel immer wieder das Netz aus. Am Telefon hieß es dann immer, man solle einmal ausstecken und wieder einstecken und ein bisschen wurde man behandelt als wäre man als User selbst das Problem. Das wirkliche Problem dahinter fand man nie. Sie haben immer das System neu gestartet, dann liefs ein paar Tage und dann war das gleiche Problem wieder. Gekko is responsible for setting up a WLAN network in my dormitory. However, there are ongoing problems with this, and after each maintenance it is said that the problem has been fixed. Especially in summer, when the house also runs as a hostel, the network kept failing. On the phone it always said that you should unplug and plug in again and you were treated a bit as if you were the problem yourself as a user. The real problem behind it was never found. They always restarted the system, then ran for a few days and then the same problem happened again.
