November 1928 wurde dieser Gedenkstein anlässlich der Ausrufung der Republik Österreich zehn Jahre zuvor für die Errichtung des Praterstadions (heute: Ernst-Happel-Stadion), eröffnet 1931, gelegt. Sehr bedauerlich, dass der Gedenkstein mittlerweile hinter einer öffentlichen Toilettenanlage (Wienerisch "Häusl") versteckt ist.
 This memorial stone was laid on November 12, 1928 on the occasion of the proclamation of the Republic of Austria ten years earlier for the construction of the Prater Stadium (today: Ernst Happel Stadium), opened in 1931. It is very unfortunate that the memorial stone is now hidden behind a public toilet facility (Viennese "Häusl").
