We’ve been twice now and planning the next trip in a couple of months time. -In the summer there are lots of lakes and walks to explore! The closest lake being 20 minutes drive which has two little cafes - One serving hot food the other serving snacks and drinks. -Another lake we visited was called Lunz am See which was about 45/50 minute drive. A much bigger lake with a few shops and restaurants. You can also hire little boats and pedlows- great fun! - 45 minutes drive away is a lovely indoor/outdoor swimming pool with scenic views of the mountains - a must!! -In the winter we spent New year at the Gasthaus and watched the mountain light up its fireworks - Lovely to see! There was lots and lots of snow!!! We went sledging, built snowmen, made snow angels and visited the ski resort- Hochkar to test out the slopes - which has a beginner ski slope that you don’t have to pay for so if you haven’t been skiing or snowboarding and want to try it out it’s well worth the visit. - We tried another swimming pool in the town Eisenerz - about 20 minutes from the Gasthaus (not as good as the one we went to in the summer) but ok for the kids! We are yet to make it up the Lugauer! Hopefully we will make it up there on our next trip :)

C	Chris Wells on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We visited Debbie and Pete's lovely inn on a hike from Eisenerz to Wald am Schoberpass. By the time we arrived we were exhausted and Debbie cooked us up a nice Austrian dinner and we had a chat over some Styrian beers. The location and the views are fantastic and the rooms are soooo clean and comfortable. After breakfast and a strong pot of coffee we were off on the next stage of our hike to Neuburgalm where one can have spectacular views of the whole Radmer valley.

M	Michael on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I strongly recommend this Gasthaus to anyone looking for a laid back but still very comfortable stay. The owners are friendly and welcoming. Rooms are comfortable with spotless bathrooms. Value for money is just top notch and you are surrounded by beautiful mountains.
N	Natalie Boase on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A lovely welcome hamper on arrival to the Gasthaus, Debbie & Peter were very helpful with directions and which route to take from Vienna airport! The Gasthaus is a lovely property and holds a lot of original character. My husband and I were travelling with our 1 year old and there was ample room for the 3 of us where a travel cot had been arranged in our room prior to our stay. Travelling with children is never easy but Debbie & Peter were more than accommodating, they offered to heat food for our little one and store milk for bottles. They also offer a daily cleaning service if needed and are available 24/7 as they live on site. We were welcomed every morning with a lovely selection of pastries, toast, cold meats and our favourite Kugelhopf - a traditional austrian lemon cake. We already have our next visit booked and we are on count down to our next family holiday where we hope to visit the local lakes and enjoy some mountain walks.

We had a very good breakfast with what looked like self-made yoghurt. Debbie made a very tasty Frittaten soup when we arrived late in the evening. Good luck to you both!
