Beautiful restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellent from starter to dessert. The visit was more than worth the hour-long drive.

What a wonderful enrichment in the Waldviertel, we are happy about the son of the Taler family who has returned to cook! He serves a fine mixture of regional, down-to-earth and creative fine dining cuisine, with his international experience he creates a taste experience for all the senses! Thanks also for the loving and familiar atmosphere, we celebrated a delicious Christmas party for friends!

Sowohl die vegetarische Speisen war hervorragend und trotz einfachster regionaler Zutaten alles andere als langweilig als auch der gebackene Karpfen war saftig und wunderbar geschmackvoll. Die Rindsuppe köstlich! Das angebotene Drei-Gänge-Menü war ansprechend und extrem preiswert. Das einzig traurige war dass unser Sohn schon zu müde war für eine Nachspeise. Wenn wir nicht 1,5 Std entfernt wohnen würden, würden wir wohl selten woanders essen. Ein Waldviertler Küchenjuwel :) Gratulation an den Koch! Inside new and very inviting, generously furnished. The food far exceeded our expectations. Both the vegetarian dishes were excellent and, despite the simplest regional ingredients, anything but boring, and the baked carp was juicy and wonderfully tasty. The beef soup delicious! The three-course menu offered was appealing and extremely inexpensive. The only sad thing was that our son was too tired for a dessert. If we didn't live 1.5 hours away, we would seldom eat anywhere else. A jewel in the Waldviertel kitchen :) Congratulations to the chef!

Jeder Gang war eine Klasse für sich, eine Geschmacksexplosion folgte der Anderen. Alex Thaler ist trotz seiner Jugend ein wahrer Meister seiner Zunft. Jedes Gericht gleicht einem Kunstwerk. Ein großer Küchenmeister hat mir empfohlen nach Großotten ins Landgasthaus Thaler zu fahren, doch nicht im entferntesten hätte ich solche Gourmetfreuden erwartet. Chapeau Alex Thaler, ich verneige mich vor einem großen Künstler! What is one to say anyway? That was fine dining of the highest class, simply indescribable. Every course was a class of its own, a taste explosion followed the others. Alex Thaler, despite his youth, a true master of his craft. Each dish is like a work of art. A great chef recommended me to Great Otten to drive to the country inn Thaler, but not in entferntesten I would have expected such gourmet delights. Chapeau Alex Thaler, I bow to a great artist!

Ein aufmerksames kompetentes Personal, eine übersichtliche ausreichende Speisekarte, Speisen sind geschmackvoll und gut angrichtet . Das Lokal ist auf alle Fälle weiter zu entfehlen.Eine kleiner Vorschlag wäre das Personal mit einheitlicher Kleidung auszustatten. Kommen gerne wieder, so weiter... An attentive, competent staff, a clear, adequate menu, dishes are tasteful and well presented. The restaurant is definitely not to be missed. Alle Komponenten waren perfekt abgeschmeckt und das Fleisch beim Tafelspitz war sehr zart. Das Beuschel und das Schnitzel haben gut geschmeckt. Die Mohnnudeln haben intensiv nach Rum geschmeckt. Vielleicht wäre es hier besser, den Rum in einem Extra-Gefäß anzubieten, sodass der Gast die Intensität bestimmen kann. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! The crumb dumpling soup and the boiled fillet tasted excellent. All components were perfectly seasoned and the meat of the boiled fillet was very tender. The Beuschel and the schnitzel tasted good. The poppy seed noodles tasted intensely of rum. Perhaps it would be better here to offer the rum in an extra container so that the guest can determine the intensity. The staff was very courteous and attentive. We will be back definitely!
