Als Ausgangspunkt für kleine oder grössere Wanderungen ideal, wenn man sich ein Schmankerl gönnen möchte!
Ich mag Wirtshäuser mit Geschichte.
Das Salettel das dort im Garten steht ist ein wunderschöner Blickfang.
Nice outdoor dining area, friendly service, excellent home-style cooking.
Ideal as a starting point for small or large hikes, if you want to treat yourself to a treat!
I like taverns with a history.
The salettel that stands there in the garden is a wonderful eye-catcher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir hatten ein etwas unangenehmes Erlebnis. Wir wollten mittagessen, es gab keine Speisekarte, was wohl unüblich ist. Beim Bezahlten staunten wir doch, als für ein kleines Gulasch (3 kleine Stücke Rindfleisch) 14.50 Euro verlangt wurden, plus 3 Euro fürs Brot. Keine Registrierkasse, Rechnung auf einem handgeschriebenen Schmierzettel, wobei sich die Kellnerin auch noch zu ihren Gunsten verrechnet hat. Alles zusammen keine Empfehlung für die Wachau.
We had a somewhat unpleasant experience. We wanted lunch, there was no menu, which is unusual. When we paid, we were amazed when they asked 14.50 euros for a small goulash (3 small pieces of beef), plus 3 euros for bread. No cash register, bill on a handwritten scrap of paper, although the waitress miscalculated in her favour. All together no recommendation for the Wachau.

Wirt mit eigenem Humor und tollem Essen.
Speisekarte gibt es keine, es wird gekocht am Holzofen.
Saisonale Küche mit kleiner aber ausgezeichneter Speisenauswahl.
Preise sind ok.
A tavern like before.
Host with his own sense of humor and great food.
There is no menu, we cook on the wood stove.
Seasonal cuisine with a small but excellent selection of dishes.
Prices are ok.
