Ein wahrlich genußvoller Augen-und Gaumenschmaus ist diese Mittagessen gewesen und mehr als reichlich für ein gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis! Today goose food at Gasthof Markel! This lunch was a truly delightful feast for the eyes and the palate, and more than enough for a good price / performance ratio!

Das Essen war in Ordnung, die Portionen (Pfandl) tw sehr gross. Unmengen sättigender Käse darüber. Erst im Nachhin Info, dass es auch in klein möglich gewesen wäre. Der Schweinebraten mir dicker Soße war nicht unseres. Ausgezeichnet hingegen die Nachspeisen, vor allem die Cremeschnitte. Modern und schlicht ja, aber keine Tischdecke, kein Platzset, keine Serviette... Ein bisschen wie Kantine. Als Café oder Imbiss in Ordnung, aber für uns leider kein Restaurant, das wir öfter besuchen werden. That is of course very subjective, but neither the ambience nor the service convinced us. Tried, but not the specialist staff that is being advertised. The food was okay, the portions (Pfandl) were partly very large. Loads of filling cheese on top. Only afterwards information that it would have been possible in a small way. The roast pork with thick sauce wasn't ours. The desserts, on the other hand, are excellent, especially the cream slices. Modern and simple, yes, but no tablecloth, no placemat, no serviette ... A bit like a canteen. OK as a café or snack bar, but unfortunately not a restaurant for us that we will visit more often.

Nice inn, friendly staff, good home-style cooking. Guest rooms could be decorated a little more chic. Excellent food. Gladly again.
