Gasthof Hotel Stockinger

Went there for a business event. Food was very good. Staff was friendly and polite.

Very pleasant hotel, good breakfast, connected with train station by bus. And, additionally, very helpful staff with tools that helped me to repair my faulty suitcase.

Excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very nice staff. High quality rooms. Fair priced.

Nice hotel with fine rooms incl. elevators. The breakfast buffet has a big variety in a calm atmosphere.

Last year, I organized a German lecture tour for my friend, the US celebrity photographer Greg Gorman throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland. For the Linz event, we booked the hotel Stockinger - a nightmare. We did have a written confirmation by the travel agent - but the hotel insisted on two things: there was no booking all guests had arrived and all rooms were taken. Greg's Assistant called me in LA - we were in the middle of a photo shoot - and we needed to run back to the office and provide evidence. Then, after hours in the middle of the night, the hotel realized they had booked the rooms in the name of the travel agent. No aplogogy - worse: the hotel insists it was a courtesy that we eventually got the rooms which were secured by my credit card. They said they did not receive a credit card. In the morning the group checked out - had to pay cash as they did not have my credit card - and were refused to get a receipt. Thankfully, the Hotel's GM Thomas Stockinger confirms that payment was received upon check out, but still refuses to issue a formal receipt. Now, days after the check out, they charged my credit card on top. I have been trying to solve this for almost a year now - have to file with the police. I can only warn to stay there. If there way a chance to give zero stars, we certainly would - especially the rooms where full of flies which made a good nights sleep impossible.

Great Hotel !!! Highly recommended! Quiet, clean and tasty! Beautiful surroundings near by, you can ask for a bicycle from the staff and explore it by yourself :). Swimming pool, sauna, gym, back yard with facilities for children to play.. What else you need from hotel ?? Special Thanks goes to Sarah Motz and Florian Wimmer. You can just do your job, or you can do your job like them, with smile and passion. Each request done quickly and with huge motivation. Keep doing it in your way!

Good classic Austrian food. Very nice staff and boss.
