A	Alexandra Maria on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die gefüllten Paprika (Mittagsmenü - nicht immer auf der Karte!) sind ein Traum, hat man aufgegessen macht sich - trotz des kurz vor dem Platzen stehendem Magen - eine leichte Unruhe breit, zumindest ging es mir so. Ich wollte die Reste der überaus göttlich-süßen Paradeis-Sauce genüsslich schmatzend vom Teller schlecken. Befremdliche Blicke der anderen Gäste wäre mir sicher gewesen... Wen juckts!? ;-) Hmmmm! The filled peppers (lunch menu - not always on the menu!) Are a dream, once you've eaten - despite the stomach that is about to burst - you feel a little restless, at least that's how I felt. I wanted to lick the remains of the divinely sweet Paradeis sauce off the plate with relish. I would have been sure of strange looks from the other guests ... Who cares !? ;-) Hmmmm!

Außerdem war das Essen sehr schnell auf dem Tisch, wir haben nicht warten müssen. Very good food! Cream of pumpkin soup was excellent and the pork medallions soft as butter. Daß ist einer von diesen, Gemütlich, Freundlich, Aufmerksam mehr kann man zum Service und Ort nicht sagen. Zum Thema- Essen kann ich nur sagen es ist Lecker und es Schmeckt, die Portionsgröße ist mehr als ausreichend und angemessen. Ich kann es durchaus Empfehlen die Wiener - Gastlichkeit ist da zu finden. Otakring still harbors some cozy and friendly places and places. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, die Bedienung ist freundlich und der Gastgarten ist schön. Und wenn man einmal keine Lust zu kochen hat, kann man die Speisen mitnehmen oder für Gäste zu Hause herrlich kreative Vorspeisenplatten im Schutzhaus beziehen. Die Qualität des Essens ist ausgezeichnet! We can warmly recommend the Schutzhaus Waidäcker with the charming host and his waiters. The food tastes very good, the service is friendly and the outdoor dining area is beautiful. And if you don't feel like cooking, you can take the food with you or purchase wonderfully creative starter platters in the Schutzhaus for guests at home. The quality of the food is excellent!

The Schutzhaus (historically this was a shelter in the wild) offers EVERYTHING you will like: a cosy beer garden, amazing local food (ingedients come from local organic farmers) and excellent staff, fluent in English even if custumers are definitively mostly from the neighborhood. If you have more than a couple of days in my city, this is a must to explore the 'old fashioned' Vienna, how it really was and still is. If you're lucky, you can also listen to the Wienerlied-singers as they practice (mostly on Wednesdays) for free. If you wanna get the (in my opinion) best Gulasch in town: don't forget to reserve! P.S.: Prices are VERY reasonable and portions huge.
