Die Lurgbauer-Hütte ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet und bietet regionale Schmankerln aus der hauseigenen Sennerei, vor allem exzellente Käsespezialitäten. Service ist freundlich und sehr gewissenhaft bei der Covid-Kontrolle! Even the ascent through the Lohmgraben is the most beautiful of all on the Schneealpe. The Lurgbauer hut is cozy and modern and offers regional delicacies from the in-house dairy, especially excellent cheese specialties. Service is friendly and very conscientious about the Covid control!

Doporučuji si udělat výstup k vrcholu Schauerstein (1812m), který je přímo nad chatou. Vede tam vyšlapaná, ale ne značená cesta. Pleasant pub that shines with newness inside. Great and humorous staff. Excellent local beer .... I recommend ?. Several routes from different directions lead to the cottage. I recommend you climb the Schauerstein peak (1812m), which is directly above the cottage. There is a beaten but not marked path.

Oben angekommen wird man dann mit einer tollen Aussicht und superleckeres Essen & Trinken belohnt! Außerdem kann man dort auch bequem und komfortabel Übernachten (inkl. leckerem Frühstück)... Die Lurgbauerhütte ist auf jeden Fall mehr als ein Besuch wert!! Bieten auch Speisen für Vegetarier & Veganer an!! Und machen eingenen Bio-Käse. SECRET TIP !!! Super nice Bio-Alm hut at> 1,700 m above sea level - which can be reached via various hiking trails. Once at the top you will be rewarded with a great view and delicious food and drink! You can also spend the night there comfortably and comfortably (including a delicious breakfast) ... The Lurgbauerhütte is definitely worth more than one visit! Cheese spaetzle top. Very good iced tea. The apple strudel a tad too sweet. One point deduction for beer from the bottle in high season.

Im Gebäude gibt es eine Sennerei, daher werden viele Milchprodukte angeboten, auch zum Mitnehmen. Auf der Speisekarte sind nur wenige Fleischgerichte zu finden. Very nice mountain hut, wonderful location. The host and the staff are very friendly. There is a dairy in the building, so many dairy products are available, including to take away. There are only a few meat dishes on the menu.
