Aus einer Schotterwüste entsteht ein Lebensraum für Menschen aus der Umgebung und eine öffentliche Bildungswerkstatt zu ökologischen und sozialen Themen.
Mit Unterstützung der Stadt Wien gestalten Nachbarn aus Mariahilf und den angrenzenden Bezirken die ungefähr 2.000 m² Dachfläche.
Gemeinsam wird das Dach befestigt und mit Beeten und Pergolen versehen, um in den kommenden Gartensaisonen Obst und Gemüse für alle TeilnehmerInnen anbauen zu können.
 A unique project is currently growing out of its infancy on the roof of the Windmühlgasse 22-24 parking garage.
From a gravel desert, a living space for people from the area and a public educational workshop on ecological and social issues are created.
With the support of the City of Vienna, neighbors from Mariahilf and the neighboring districts are designing the approximately 2,000 m² roof area.
The roof will be fixed together and provided with beds and pergolas so that fruit and vegetables can be grown for all participants in the coming gardening seasons.
