Gars entwickelte sich nicht zuletzt durch die Bahnanbindung zu einer beliebten Sommerfrische. Aber auch der Güterverkehr profitierte durch die Bahnlinie. In Gars befanden sich einige Großmühlen und der Transport von Getreide und Mehl erfolgte überwiegend über die Bahnstrecke. Der Bahnhof wurde 100 Jahre nach seinem Bau umfassend renoviert; das Güterabfertigungsgebäude wurde abgerissen. Das immer noch seiner Bestimmung gemäß verwendete Aufnahmsgebäude steht unter Denkmalschutz. In 1889, the single-track Kamptalbahn and the Gars-Thunau station were built. Gars developed not least by the railway connection to a popular summer resort. But also the goods traffic benefited by the railway line. In Gars were some large mills and the transport of grain and flour was mainly on the railway line. The station was extensively renovated 100 years after its construction; the goods handling building was demolished. The recording building still used according to its purpose is a listed building.

B	Brigitte Winterstein on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Die öffentliche Toilette lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Es gibt seit Monaten kein funktionierendes Licht und die Sauberkeit lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Im Aufenthaltsraum muss man alle 10 Minuten das Licht nachschalten sonst sitzt man im Dunkeln. Das geht gar nicht The public toilet leaves a lot to be desired. There has been no working light for months and the cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. In the lounge you have to switch on the light every 10 minutes otherwise you are sitting in the dark. That is not how it works
