S	Steven Schwarznau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Leider fährt die Dampflok häufiger aus Brandschutzgründen nicht. Trotzdem ein Highlight für Kinder und Nostalgiger, wobei sich die lange Tour sehr zieht. Das ist dann auch für Kids zu viel. Die Zielorte sind leider nur minder attraktiv. Unfortunately, the steam locomotive does not run more often for fire protection reasons. Still a highlight for children and nostalgics, although the long tour is very long. That is too much for kids too. Unfortunately, the destinations are less attractive.

Es war ein sehr schöner Ausflug und auch der Preis ist total o.k. Was ich jetzt im Netz gesehen habe, wird auch sehr viel erneuert und verbessert. Ich freu mich wieder auf eine tolle Fahrt! Besonders mit der Dampflock ! :) I went by train in the autumn (Sunday excursion) and you have to say it has something. It was a very nice trip and the price is totally o.k. What I have seen on the net now, is also much renewed and improved. I'm looking forward to a great ride again! Especially with the Dampflock! :)
B	Bernhard Bock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wir sind mit der alten Dampflok auf der Schmalspurbahn gefahren und es war ein tolles Familienerlebnis! Die Dampflok fährt nur Samstags (an anderen Tagen ist auch Betrieb, aber mit einer Diesellok). Man sollte seinen Besuch entsprechend planen, denn die Fahrt mit einer Dampflok ist schon ein besonderes Erlebnis. Plätze reservieren ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, denn der Zug war voll. Die Bummelzugfahrt dauert einfach knapp zwei Stunden, in denen man die Landschaft genießen kann. Ein Zwischenstopp in Anger zum Füße vertreten sorgt dafür, dass es auch für die Kleinen nicht zu lang wird. Wer will, kann sich auch unterwegs im Speisewagen versorgen. Wir sind von Weiz nach Birkfeld und zurück gefahren mit einem Aufenthalt von knapp 3h. In dieser Zeit konnten wir gemütlich in Birkfeld Mittagessen - viele touristische Sehenswürdigkeiten haben wir allerdings nicht gefunden. Der Weg ist das Ziel ;) Dank Genusscard war die Fahrt für uns sogar kostenlos, wäre uns aber den Ticketpreis auch wert gewesen. Hundemitnahme war kein Problem. The slow train ride takes just under two hours, during which you can enjoy the landscape. A stopover in Anger zum Feet ensures that it doesn't get too long for the little ones either. If you want, you can also get supplies in the dining car en route. We drove from Weiz to Birkfeld and back with a stay of almost 3 hours. During this time we could have lunch in Birkfeld - but we did not find many tourist attractions. The route is the goal ;) Thanks to the Genusscard, the trip was even free for us, but would have been worth the ticket price. Bringing dogs was not a problem.

Schöne fahrz und sehr nettes Personal mit unseren 2 kids im zwillungswagen war es kein Problem das was fehlt sind die Öffnungszeiten der verkaufsstelle in weiz aber sonst richtig gut. Good things with the Styrian pleasure card for nothing else. The prices on the train are completely ok. Nice vehicles and very nice staff with our 2 kids in the twin car it wasn't a problem what is missing are the opening times of the sales point in weiz but otherwise really good.
