Ethiopian Restaurant - Cafe Lalibela - Schulgasse 7

This restaurant is a two-edged sword! On one hand the food is really tasty & the prices are more than reasonable. So I should rate this higher BUT it is very uncomfortable to sit since the chairs are not really suited for a cozy meal. Also the restaurant was quite chilly so we opted to go to a place nearby to warm us up again. Furthermore the service, whilst friendly, lacks attentiveness & so we sat in front of empty glasses for quite some time. Eating without cutlery certainly is unusual but manageable (even though at least offering some for the hot dishes would be nice). In summary this is one to visit for a quick bite when in the area but certainly not something one should go for a (extended) dinner.

Amazing food and owner! Really, go there and give it a chance, there is no way you don't like the food and the atmosphere ! But bring a bit of time ;-)

Amazing food to be eaten with your hands (if you want)! Staff is so nice that they give you extras if you didn't finish all your Injera. Also, I had less cash than required yet they immediately said it's no problem.

It tasted awesome and it was funny as well to eat with the fingers. Thank you. ? We took the mixed plate for 2 persons.

Such amazing food, joyful staff, and great atmosphere. The food and the music will have you happy dancing in your seat the whole time.

The best Ethiopian Restaurant in town. This is just so delicious so healthy so friendly! I went there 3 times already and I would go more times to enjoy this mix of veggies and meat made by True Africans.

Simple the best. If you want to try exotic, very tasty, authentic food from Ethiopia Cafe Lalibella is a must. The food is amazing. We love the vegetarian plate. You eat with your hands which is an exciting experience. Sometimes there are very long waiting times for food. But George and his team is just so heart-warming that you can’t be mad. We are regularly guests there. We just love the atmosphere and the food there. Highly recommend! Looking forward to next time already again.
