It is a very cosy restaurant, I like to go there at lunch as they have a daily lunch menu at 8,80€. Usually it is made of a soup that changes every day and one main dish that you can choose between two. One of the main dish consist very often of dumplings while the other one is always different. They accept lunch vouchers and they have the option of adding a coffee to the menu with 1€ extra. Highly recommended

I was really looking forward to the dinner there, especially now considering support that Ukraine needs so much. Unfortunatelly the food was a big dissapointment, very far from the genuine Ukrainian cuisine, which i know very well and love it. We ordered borsch, which had little taste of beetroots more of a garlic, a little spots of cream on top of it had nothing to do with a genuine thick cream you find in the original borsch. The bun served aside seemed to be not fresh as well. Second course: vareniki, small traditional dumplings unfortunatelly with a very thick daugh and little taste inside. They tasted bit like frozen ones that you can buy in the shop, rather than freshly made. A bit of fried onion on top of it would help, not sure though it is served like this in Ukrainie. Service was very friendly but confused: despite clear order we got our borsch vegetatian without meat; after our claim we got same plates, from which we started eating, just enriched with bit of meat. At least the Austrian beer tasted right… i do not write this review to be mean to them but genuinely think they should try much harder in terms of food and taste to promote the great Ukrainian cuisine. It is your country“s business card in Vienna guys! Do your best please ! :) i believe there are many people who come there, lots of them without clue how it should taste, but you can have much much more people if the food is better.

The place is small and cozy and truly serves Ukranian dishes. We had reserved tables for a thursday night and it was full, which we did not expect. The staff are friendly, only problem was they served us quite slow. Wouldve been perfect but we were lucky as we werent really in a hurry. Would recommend the place for the food.

Portions were too small. Left still hungry. It was very loud at peak hour.

This is my first time to try Ukrainian food and my last day in Vienna. Boy you guys have done such a good job. The food is refreshingly good and the food and Russian beer are GREAT MATCH (Ukrainian beer is by accident unavailable at my time of visit but I believe it would be GREAT MATCH to the food too). Thanks to the sweet waitress who made such good recommendation and brought an enjoyable night to me. I must re-visit this restaurant if I have chance to be in Vienna again.

Had a great lunch at Elvira’s. Service was very friendly and they had English menus! Always welcome. Loved that they provided blankets upon request, as it was a bit chilly outside. Some wonderful dishes. My wife loved the borscht and said it was very authentic. I really enjoyed my beef boullion with noodles - perfectly salty. Will definitely get it again. My kid loved his Chicken schnitzel and we thought the pelmeni were really well done. I was very pleasantly surprised by the Olivier salad - very tasty. My main was the duck - the only negative thing to say about the meal was how long this dish took. We had finished everything else by the time the duck came out. The dish had multiple elements as opposed to the other dishes, understandable why it took longer I suppose. The duck in itself was cooked very well, and I enjoyed the accoutrements, but I thought most everything else we ordered was better. I wouldn’t get the duck again, but I wouldn’t dissuade anyone from trying it. Anyways, great meal, great value. Will definitely be back!
