Sie erzählen oft interessante Geschichten aus alter Zeit, wie eben hier die "Story" von der Eisernen Hand. If you go to the Way of St. James Purkersdorf-Göttweig, then you will find many of these small places of worship. They often tell interesting stories from ancient times, such as here the "story" of the Iron Hand.
E	Erich Haas on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wollte eigentlich nur der eiserne Hand besichtigen. Habe verschiedene Eindrücke bekommen. Wusste zuerst gar nicht dass das Marterl auf einen Jakobsweg steht. Google Maps führte mich von Würmla nach Diesendorf zu dem Abschnitt wo man durch den Wald die eiserne Hand erreichen kann. Das würde ich keinem empfehlen diesen zu nehmen. Keine Beschriftung keine Angaben nichts. Von dort kannst du eigentlich nur zwei Wege wählen durch einen Graben, oder über einen Traktor Weg in den Wald. Als erstes dachte ich der Graben führt zur Eisernen ✋ Hand. Vielleicht war das einmal vor etlichen Jahren. Jetzt versperrt dir im Wald ein umgestürzter Baum den Weg. Ich musste seitlich aus dem Graben klettern. Kam in den Wald wo viele Bäume Tod sind. Musste dann durch Gestrüpp meinen Weg suchen und kam mit Ach und Krach wieder zu meinem ausgangspunkt zurück. Am nächsten Tag probierte ich den Traktor Weg und gelangte dann irgendwie auf dem Jakobsweg durch den Wald. Wo ich dann das Marterl mit der eisernen Hand besichtigen konnte. Man kommt auch vom Spital oder von Würmla auf dem Jakobsweg. Actually just wanted to see the iron hand. Got different impressions. At first I didn't even know that the Marterl was on a Way of St. James. Google Maps led me from Würmla to Diesendorf to the section where you can reach the iron hand through the forest. I would not recommend this to anyone. No lettering, no information, nothing. From there you can actually only choose two paths through a ditch or via a tractor path into the forest. At first I thought the ditch leads to the Iron ✋ Hand. Maybe that was some years ago. Now a fallen tree is blocking your way in the forest. I had to climb out of the ditch sideways. Came into the forest where many trees are dead. Then I had to search my way through the undergrowth and came back to my starting point with a bang and a bang. The next day I tried the tractor path and somehow got through the forest on the Camino de Santiago. Where I could then inspect the Marterl with an iron hand. You can also come from the hospital or from Würmla on the Way of St. James.
