★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avantgarde-Musik, kleine legere Location, hautnah an den Künstlern, nicht jeden Tag Vorstellungen, Lounge mit Bar für die Minuten davor und danach. Proberaum. Von der Qualität nicht schlechter als die Künstler im Konzerthaus, trotzdem bekomme ich in der Regel ohne Reservierung Karten an der Abendkasse.
 Avant-garde music, small casual location, close to the artists, not every day shows, lounge with bar for the minutes before and after. Rehearsal room. Of the quality not worse than the artists in the concert hall, nevertheless, I usually get tickets without reservation at the box office.

It is located in the first floor of a "Hinterhaus" (accessible via the back yard of the building), in a working class district of Vienna. Echoraum distributs a monthly need letter by snail mail (how beautifully old-fashioned!).
Some simple catering should be available at concerts, usually.
