★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Im Oktober 2020 haben wir hier zusammen unseren letzten Urlaub verbracht, bevor unsere kleine Tochter geboren wurde.
Wir können die Dürnauerhütte nur wärmstens empfehlen!
Anfahrt:
Die angegebene Adresse ist von der sehr lieben und hilfsbereiten Familie Randbacher. Dort trifft man sich erstmal und sollte gut überlegen, ob man das Angebot den Jeep zu nutzen nicht annehmen will, denn der Weg hoch ist wirklich schwer für normale Autos (Unser Ford Focus schafft das nicht ohne aufzusetzen).
Aussicht:
Oben angekommen bietet sich eine tolle Aussicht auf ein wunderschönes Bergpanorama und eine sehr abgelegene eingezäunten Almhütte, um die die Kühe herum grasen.
Ausstattung:
Der kleine Schuppen beherbergt Kaminholz und ein paar Sonnenterrassenmöbel. Daneben gibt es eine Lagerfeuerstelle und einen kleinen Brunnen.
Die Almhütte ist sehr frisch renoviert ohne den Charm durch Modernisierungen zu nehmen. Warmes Wasser gibt es nur per Kamin, gekocht wird auf dem Holzofen, geheizt ebenfalls über den Holzofen, elektrischen Strom gibt es über die Photovoltaik-Anlage auf dem Dach (mehr als ein paar Handys und einen Fön schafft sie nicht gleichzeitig), Kühlschrank sucht man hier ebenso vergeblich, wie einen Fernseher - und das ist gut so!
Ausflüge:
Ein paar Wandertouren gehen direkt von der Hütte aus, ansonsten bietet Kärnten eine Reihe von tollen Urlaubszielen in der Umgebung (Spittal, Maltatal, Karnische Alpen, ...)
Die Dürnauerhütte kann bis zu sechs Erwachsene beherbergen und bietet dabei ein tolles Erholungserlebnis ohne viel Schnickschnack.
Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! Dieses Mal dann zu dritt und mehr als nur eine Woche.
 In October 2020 we spent our last vacation here together before our little daughter was born.
We can only warmly recommend the Dürnauerhütte!
Directions:
The address given is from the very loving and helpful Randbacher family. There you meet first and should consider carefully whether you want to accept the offer to use the Jeep, because the way up is really difficult for normal cars (our Ford Focus can't do that without touching down).
View:
Once at the top there is a great view of a beautiful mountain panorama and a very secluded, fenced alpine hut, around which the cows graze.
Furnishing:
The small shed houses firewood and some sun terrace furniture. There is also a campfire site and a small fountain.
The alpine hut is very freshly renovated without losing its charm through modernization. Hot water is only available from the fireplace, the wood stove is used for cooking and the wood stove is also used for heating, electricity is provided by the photovoltaic system on the roof (more than a couple of cell phones and a hair dryer can be used at the same time), and you are looking for a refrigerator here as in vain as a television - and that's a good thing!
Trips:
A few hiking tours start directly from the hut, otherwise Carinthia offers a number of great holiday destinations in the area (Spittal, Maltatal, Carnic Alps, ...)
The Dürnauerhütte can accommodate up to six adults and offers a great relaxation experience without a lot of frills.
We will be back definitely! This time it was threesome and more than just a week.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eine total schöne Hütte ❤️ die Gastgeber sind extrem freundlich. Wir haben einen cross suv und konnten die Auffahrt ohne Probleme bewältigen, bei niedrigen Autos wsl etwas schwierig wenn man offroad fahren nicht gewohnt ist. Auf der Hütte gibt es Strom, jedoch keinen Kühlschrank. Man kann Butter, Milch etc aber in zur Verfügung gestellten Kisten im wassertrog vor dem Haus kühl halten. Einfach ein uriges, tolles Erlebnis ❤️
A really nice hut ❤️ the hosts are extremely friendly. We have a cross suv and were able to cope with the driveway without any problems, which is a bit difficult with low cars if you are not used to driving off-road. There is electricity in the hut, but no refrigerator. You can keep butter, milk etc in the boxes provided in the water trough in front of the house. Simply a quaint, great experience ❤️
