Hier geht es vermutlich um Beträge im Centbereich. Zahnärzte/innen zählen sicherlich nicht zur ärmsten Bevölkerungsschicht. Von einem Mediziner, der einen Eid geschworen hat, könnte man sich schon ein bisschen mehr Solidarität erwarten. To complain during the corona crisis that the protective equipment would have doubled in price and that acute patients are therefore only treated for cash is a big deal. This is probably about amounts in the cent range. Dentists are certainly not among the poorest sections of the population. One could expect a little more solidarity from a doctor who swore an oath.

Das Einholen von einer Zweitmeinung - die zu einer gegensätzlichen Einschätzung gelangt - nämlich keinerlei Behandlungsbedarf an den Zähnen attestiert - ist jeder Person zu empfehlen, die sich eine medizinisch nicht notwendige teure und unsinnige Behandlung sparen möchte. Without any complaints after a check-up appointment, I left the practice with a "cost estimate" of over 1,500 euros. Obtaining a second opinion - which comes to a contradicting assessment - namely attesting no need for any treatment on the teeth - is recommended to every person who wants to save themselves an expensive and nonsensical treatment that is not medically necessary.
