â â â â â Ein kleiner pittoresker Friedhof, gleich neben dem Hernalser Friedhof. Dank einiger BĂ€nke lĂ€sst sich hier in Ruhe auch mal ein Buch lesen. Ăffentliches WC ist vorhanden.
A small picturesque cemetery, right next to the Hernals cemetery. Thanks to some benches you can read a book here in peace. Public toilet is available.

Die Verstorbenen der Pfarre Dornbach, die 1251 gegrĂŒndet worden war, wurden ursprĂŒnglich neben der Pfarrkirche Dornbach auf einem ummauerten GrundstĂŒck bestattet. Obwohl dem Friedhof 1784 auf Grund der geringen Anzahl an TodesfĂ€llen noch keinerlei Notwendigkeit fĂŒr eine SchlieĂung attestiert wurde, schloss man den Friedhof 1814. An Stelle des alten Friedhofs nahe der Kirche wurde auĂerhalb der Ortschaft in der Flur âUntere Wiedenâ, im Bereich der heutigen Braungasse und OberwiedenstraĂe, ein neuer Friedhof angelegt. Nach einer Erweiterung im Jahr 1871 wurde 1883 auch der neue Friedhof geschlossen, da die zunehmende Verbauung des Gebietes sanitĂ€re Bedenken hervorrief. Die Auflösung des Friedhofs wurde Ende 1903 genehmigt, die exhumierten Leichenreste wurden auf dem neuen Dornbacher Friedhof bestattet.

The deceased of the Dornbach parish, which was founded in 1251, were originally buried next to the Dornbach parish church on a walled property. Although the cemetery was attested in 1784 due to the low number of deaths still no need for closure, the cemetery was closed in 1814. In place of the old cemetery near the church was outside the village in the corridor "Untere Wieden", in the area where it is today Braungasse and Oberwiedenstrasse, a new cemetery laid out. After an expansion in 1871, the new cemetery was also closed in 1883, as the increasing development of the area raised sanitary concerns. The dissolution of the cemetery was approved at the end of 1903, and the exhumed remains were buried in the new Dornbach cemetery.
